well THAT was AWWSOME. I've had the theme from shaft running thru my head for about a week now. still awesome.
I used to think the Ukulele was limited to certain types of melodies. Not so after viewing the above -- wonderful!
That's what I thought before, but since taking up tha ukulele, it's really an adaptable little instrument.
I'll never grow old of the original but if you are looking for a cover as a uke player or as a fan of 'The Cure', then this passionate group of musicians cook up a performance of fun and energy.
These people are brilliant! (even from fourteen years ago!)
I loved the way the audience reacted. They look so pristine with their smiles

The lead singer/ukulelist(?) is a really funky fella with alot of soul.
I just love his "rapping" and his quips while he sings.
George! He's on hiatus at the moment (Feb, 2020).
Word on the street is that George has been spotted lounging around a tiki bar, wearing a weathered straw hat, on a sandy beach in a sunny clime somewhere far-far-away.
He continues to be the group's musical director.
