Thanks for the shout out! Super relatable video especially about combat distances and being your own worse critic. There is always that balance of realism vs what is cinematic for Halo space battles as they were usually great distances apart. I usually try to make excuses as to why they are so close in my videos but will have more balance in the future as well. As for own worst critic, Im sure every artist relates to that. I can't watch my own videos without picking them apart. However each video you complete just makes you even more prepared for the next. Keep it up!
one day in the future somebody is gonna come back and look at this channel and see some ultra high quality stuff. Glad i get to watch the whole process of reaching that point.
Hey man, I love the work. Keep up and you'll end up going places! I also agree with you on all of your points about space combat and how it functions. What's even funnier is that Eric Nylund himself agreed with all this stuff too!
If you want to check out more books that get this kinda stuff right, read Lost Fleet by Jack Campbell. It's actually a very good book series that talks about how FTL and relativity effects space combat, and the battles are super interesting.
Tight formations can work in certain scenarios, but not often agreed.
In a universe like BSG overlapping flak scenes are vital to survive against the cyclons.
For that guy saying loop/onyx animations were better than Infinite. I'll stand by that 😅
I think that intro infinite cutscene is a fur coat no nickers thing, it looks quality, but is just nonsensical and completely unearned. The onyx battle and keyes loop had elements in them that made them very enjoyable in their book form - theres quality in everything from their structure to their dialogue and that makes conveying it through animation harder too.
Infinite just had infinity being rammed and no lead up or display of atriox's supposed brilliance. So yh, your animation and the story it comes from is better 😅
