Danya is teaching us to track backwards once spotting the win. First what, then how? Instead of calculating forwards, rather thinking of how the position could be winning, and working it back to the current position from there. That's what I've learned from watching these.

I’m thinking it’s probably the same way I do it. Any movement or simply chess pieces on the board can distract from the changing tactical positions I’m playing through in my head. If I continue to stare at the board the ‘pieces get in the way’ so to speak. It just helps focus on my calculations
It's the same concept as doing math in your mind, you already get all the numbers you know from paper, so you don't need to stare at it while calculating in your head.
Having to learn directly from an elite player such as danya has been more than revolutionary to my improvement in chess. Thank you for being so sincere with ur teachings

The B4 pawn push and specially thr game you show cased after were eye opening. I would have seen fork but dismissed it cause of the knight protecting the square in most games. In the game you showcased, i saw that queen d4 was strong and that the knight wanted to be dislodged but I missed the similarly strong idea of rook to a2 cause I got hung up on trying to make queen to d4 work. Good lesson to keep looking for strong ideas.

In this specific example it is easy to see that white is much better bc black will have a weak king, bad structure and weird pieces (i might be wrong tho. Will analyze). Ill try to find a similar position i often find myself avoiding online where black is in a similar position and comment it below. With low time i find it quite hard. I should be around 1500 real elo (peaked at 1950 in blitz on lichess).

It looks to me like there's a refinement to the a6 defensive resource that Danya points out at 26:00. If instead of the immediate a6 Black plays Bxc2+, then the bishop takes the a4 square away from White's bishop and Black seems to win back his piece: ... Bxc2+, Kd2 a6, Ba4 Bxa4, Nxa4 Nxc6, recovering the piece. What am I missing? Oops, I miscounted the material and Black would actually win a piece it seems.

The position also resembles a "King's Indian attack" setup with Nc3 instead of Nd2. The h3-Kh2 manœuvre is also common in that kind of KIA

After … Bxc2+ Kd2… a6, white can play Nxb4+ and after Black’s response …axb5 white can then also go Nxc2, winning a piece
