I saw it last week sometime too. It was called LIGHTNING STRIKES Full Movie -with Kevin Sorbo as the town sheriff. Similar weather lightning storm killing people. Started out with mother and son in a car too. It is on a channel called The Midnight Screening
I think there is another movie out almost identical. I am getting the same vibes. The actors seem different then the ones in another one I watched a few days ago. ❤️🇨🇦🥰
Not sure if I'm correct but is Gunters Farm land the exact same one they used for Smallville " The Kent's Farm " every part from the yellow house, fencing, fencing to the house the layout, red barn , mill are all placed the same landscape layout as Smallville.

really good disaster movie! Encompasses 'the teen thing', friendship, family dynamics, collaboration, loss, and self-sacrifice to benefit strangers and the community...oh, and saving the world...
Wow! It started out very low budget, but then it really kicked in halfway through. This is how I imagine climate change will get fixed...by school kids, not by the grownups 😛

Good acting by fairly attractive people, decent story, and solid effects. This movie breaks all the rules of the genre.
