This might be the best movie from The Asylum I've seen -- competent acting, no whiny characters, minimal boring subplot and insipid dialogue. On the other hand, a magnitude 20.0 quake would be one trillion times as powerful as an 8.0 and would probably destroy the Earth if it were possible.
20.0 Mega GiggleWiggler, yeppers, this flick was goofy at best, still, it was entertaining enough to pass the time. Could you even imagine a 20.0 quake, that's not a quake, that's instant desert, total annihilation in a blink of an eye. Thanks for the laugh!!!!!

That gets me every time. Your house starts shaking; big boulders are falling on your house, and then it starts to fall into a sink hole and you say to your kid; "Get under the table" All the while you are bring drugged into a sink hole.

For any1, who just like this movie, or who thinks, the concept is good, but the movie is bad, I recommend watching "10.5" from 2004, which this movie "borrows" heavily from. Only "10.5" is far better on all points - story, acting, effects, the lot.
entertainning, but some of the special effects not played out properly. The end with a CVPI was hilarious. Went from a CHP unit with 2-door white, to a generic 4-door white Dodge Charger with Police script on it. Plus a city area of this magnatude would not have evacuated this fast, nor would traffice be driving ho-hum on the freeway on the escape. LoL
Remember watching a disaster film, the stars are running down a alleyway avoiding falling things, at the end of the alleyway, cars a driving by and a man walks past with his dog.😂😂
I get that it's a b movie but..... why is Molly looking at divorce papers at the beginning and end of the movie???? I just don't see what that had to do with anything.
I was in a 5.8,you could see the walls of the house move,water in aquarium sloshed from side to side.No damage to house,minor damage to neighboring communities. Exciting as a once in a life time but I don't want to do it again.

Silly, very silly. Numerous contradictions in the storyline, bad science, badly acted (by some), wildly overacted (by two). I love it! As disaster movies go, this one is a disaster. And therefore shouldn’t be missed. It’s hilarious.

I worked in the Northern Alberta oil patch and the size of the rigs and drilling depth does not make sense to me. you do not have all of your facts right. This movie is just for scare effect.Still a good movie, but not accurate.

That floating building sailing down toward the bridge is too funny. The picture is campy, but it is entertaining.

They say 4.2, you should only feel that the earth is moving, i been with a 4,5 and no buildings was demolished, only the ground shaking.
