I had a lot of fun here last year. The park is a great value not just for the dry park but also Hurricane Bay, my favorite water park.
I’d love to try the waterslides next time.

I got to ride Storm Chaser 38 times in 2021. Now I get to revisit it next month, and I'm very excited.
Kentucky Kingdom is about a 20 minute walking distance from my grandmothers house

This park looks charming with the small collection of coasters and the cinnamon bread with apple butter. If you like Ferris wheels, then definitely recommend riding the London Eye with Jesiah when you guys are in London if you have time🇬🇧. I’m excited for my first visit to Kentucky later this year. Looking forward to seeing the HoliWood Nights vlog, those woodies at that park look elite. And never thought I’d say this, but may be returning to Disney after so many years,either at the end of this year or early next year😭🐭🤩
This is my home park! I watched your alls review of kings island and that was the first video i ever watched of you all. Im really thankful im close to three big parks: kings island, KK, and Holiday World. I grew up going here when it was six flags and the kid area was themed to looney tunes. Its so crazy thinking back and seeing how much the park has improved over the years. Chang was incredibly popular and I was able to ride greased lightning before the closure a single loop coaster. The ferris wheel and roller skater are both original rides. The roller skater was one of my absolute favorites as a kid. Short but sweet and the ride vehicle is adorable. Also some of the original rides (when i was growing up) are/were on the website that I saw thinking about going this year were: the Himalaya, bluebeards bounty, big foot trucks, flying duchman, giant wheel, 5D cinema, pounce & bounce - was looney tunes themed before, roller skater, rowdy racers- was looney tuned themed before with each car being a character. These are the only ones I know for sure from remembering but im pretty sure almost all the kid area ones are the same which is great to see! I dont know if they’re original to the park but they were there before it closed. Hope this helped and Im glad you all had fun if you all are ever back id love to join you all or answer any questions!

18:44 this is how I feel about Dollywood. The one that used to be there was so tiny lol. The park could reeeeally use a giant ferris wheel or an observation tower

I used to live in Kentucky and ever since I moved to Ohio ive been spoiled by Cedar Point so now the Kentucky Kingdom rides are all baby rides to me lol

When I rode thunder run, my lap bar didn't go down. Good thing I had a seatbelt. Ive been here 50+ times because I always get season passes and this was the only slight incident that happened.

I have ridden #lightningrun at this park, and that was a total airtime machine! Absolutely loved it!
I absolutely adore storm chaser as it was running crazy when I went in 2021, its still my number 2 after all this time.

As a Kentuckian, the rides are all named after weather because of the weather in Kentucky. We have tornadoes every year in the western parts of Kentucky and there was even a time where it snowed in either March or May. Can’t remember which one, but still. Probably May knowing our weather. Out of all the 50 states, Kentucky has the weirdest weather.
I have enjoyed this trip vastly. Great educational and fun vids. I have yet to hit up a theme park this Summer, but I did go to a carnival and enjoyed the ups and downs......of a funnel cake. Next time they'll RMC it by adding some whipped cream for me. Holiday World's collection of woodies is epic. Enjoy.

Ive always noticed there is a lot of airtime in this park and airtime is my favorite sensation. I would think I would love this park for that reason

If they still had chang roller coaster what have been your number one coaster for that park .
It is now called The Green lantern it is now at six flags Great adventure.

One thing to remember is that this park has height restrictions thanks to its proximity to Louisville's airport (about a mile and a half away), so their rides can't pick up the same kind of speed you find on Top Thrill and Fury 325
1,000,000% agree about sky rides! I joke with my daughter that only “Real” parks have sky rides.

You seem to to just always catch Storm Chaser on slow days. I've seen videos where it runs cartoonishly fast, and it looks lowkey violent.
🤯 I DISCOVERED SOMETHING! If you’re in the back seat of a coaster, you can lean outside the train and look backwards the whole ride! I’ve never ridden in a backwards facing seat but I imagine this feels like that except more out of control. Beware of neck pain though. Coasterdash I gotta see you do this!

@@calvinpetty343 if you lean your head out of the train, you could face more injuries due to headchoppers, not to mention a bumpy or intense ride causing a ton of neck pain, would not recommend ever
Doing this on a bumpy or intense coaster could cause even more neck pain, let alone the higher chance to get hurt by a support or theming because of a dumb decision, would not recommend ever doing this on a coaster, would recommend following the safety rules and keeping all body parts in the car except for putting your hands up

When I went storm chaser was running so crazy and thunder run was by far the most painful coaster experience I had ever had 😅😅 idk how we have such different opinions
Storm Chaser was my first RMC, so I love it. But I've been on better ones ever since. Rode Wildcat's Revenge today. Amazing! Lightning Run is excellent. Thunder Run was surprisingly decent. I didn't ride Kentucky Flyer last time. Glad they got rid of T3. It was garbage.

I'm looking forward to finally going to Kentucky Kingdom. I had planned to go last month, but had to change my plans. But, I'm definitely going to make the trip in late July -- and hit Holiday World as well. Like Phantom's Revenge, Lightning Run is a coaster that I have never heard a single person ever state a low or even mediocre opinion of. I've only heard what a great coaster it is -- and I fully believe it. Honestly, I'm looking forward to riding it more than Storm Chaser. I'm certainly looking forward to Storm Chaser, but Lightning Run is more enticing to me. I've always heard mixed reviews about Storm Chaser, with some people swearing it's one of the best RMC's on the planet while others find it to be a really good coaster (but one of the weakest RMC's) that happens to be overrated. I'm very curious to ride it, to find out for myself how it is. I do love Twisted Cyclone -- appreciate what it does in a short ride duration and in such a compact layout -- and when I watch the video footage of Storm Chaser, it doesn't seem to have the same level of aggressiveness and punch to it as Twisted Cyclone. Perhaps, I'm wrong about that. I guess I'll find it this summer.

Woah almost just thought i had a Mandela effect. Confused this with elitch gardens in denver, where they had some iconic wooden coaster called twister. I expected it to be here. And im shocked i never hear about that park or that ride whatsoever
The first pov was the slowest ive ever seen storm chaser run definitely looked faster in the second ride but ive been on it when its been way faster you can see in the pov i uploaded the elements hit so hard and it flew into the break run
Man storm chaser looks like its running like shit this year. When I went 3 years ago that thing was hauling.

You must get special permissions to film before or after normal operating hours at this park.

I literally live in Louisville and still have not ridden Storm Chaser or Lightning Run lol. I’m taking a trip to Carowinds next week and when I get back, I’ll have 99 credits (assuming I can get all 13 credits while there). I was hoping Top Thrill 2 would open up and that could be my 100th, but I might have to settle on either Lightning Run or make a hike over to Holiday World and have the Voyage be my 100th credit. What would you do for your 100th?
