Motivational, inspirational, emotional. That's why I love this channel. No matter what you're going through in life, you can always get 20-30 mins of solace watching your videos. Awesome edit mate, Thanks.
One of the best bikepacking videos I’ve ever seen 😀👍 the silent music, your thoughts, … you let the pictures tell the story and make everybody start dreaming and wishing to start the journey to one’s dreams at once. Absolutely amazing and very inspiring and personal 😊 greetings from South Bavaria!
This is truly a cycling journey of epic proportions, the footage of this achievement is magnificent, inspiring and yes, as an observer, emotional, the narration, which reminds me of “who am I “ by Peter Pendragon is superb and adds a touch of magic to the whole film, Congratulations 👍👍
Passion is a strong word for an activity that you love doing to soothe your soul. Get well Josh and soon you'll be back on the bike and loving every minute of it. LOL :) :)
This is the best YT channel I ever subscribed to. And your videos Josh are the most inspirational out there. I even started my own channel thanks to you and your stories pal 👍
Beautifully put and beautifully filmed as usual, great summery of the trip and I thoroughly enjoyed watching the 4 other videos of this epic and inspirational journey. Well done chief.
I'm so glad I've found your channel, I'm down on the south coast like you. In Brighton. I have made a promise to cycle to Scotland in Aug 2024! I have experience cycling to Paris with friends, but this will be the biggest solo journey yet. Your channel is giving me so many positive thoughts and ideas. Any advice would be very much welcomed. Keep putting these out. You're inspirational! And your videos are incredible!
Love watching your videos they make me want to set up my bike an go an camping, cant wait until my next trip in a few weeks. Thanks for uploading an keep smiling 🤙🚲🏕
Cheers josh that was briliant, i wish i was young again, i can still do long adventures it just takes allot longer and it's all a bit slower but i realy apreciate being able to still go on bike adventures, i am so lucky.
Been binge watching your videos, you are truly a machine, this ride is exactly what the wife wanted to do, now she doesnt😂. The track from Macyllenth is our favourite ride, Im so glsd you found the bridge, we didnt and my mate went right under trying the crossing...on an electric bike! Great videos, great attitude.
Josh love the GB Divide Story watching it on wide screen, this is prime time t.v. production you've done an incredible job aside of the ride itself. The commentary equals the professional production, I think your going to really progress and expand in this field, best of luck buddy we are all cheering u on. Welldone from a welsh friend a beautiful land with brutal hills. 😅
Love your videos. Keep them coming. You often camp in woodland, have you thought about carrying a lightweight tarp? You can string it up in minutes and then have shelter from the rain to unpack and stick the tent up. Also the reverse, doesn't take up a lot of space and isn't that heavy but could really improve your enjoyment. Just a tht. Best of British to ya buddy
Really nice summary Josh. Even though I watched the preceding 4 vids it was good to see the whole journey in context. Really appreciated the extra effort you took to capture and edit-down these footage highlights. Also nice to have your philosophy behind the journey. Although you play it down in your modest style, this was quite some awesome achievement that many of us can only watch in awe. Chapeau to a job well done
Awesome 👏🏽 Your content continues to get better and better. Fantastic and thoughtful summary of a fabulous adventure. Some very much shared collective cyclist psychology in there too. ❤
Always an inspirational watch, thank you! My whole family is Scottish and i've never been there.. So i'm hoping to get a little advice in route planning from anyone if possible. I'd be riding with my gf, so maybe 3 days riding at a relaxed pace. I'm not sure where to start or end, i basically just want to be in the middle of no where with good scenery. Thanks in advance :)
Maybe the badger divide ? starts in inverness and finishes in glasgow. maybe just do it to corrour station if you wanted to take your time. www.komoot.com/collection/1973415/-bikepacking-the-badger-divide
Hi Jason I don't have a patreon, but do have a buymeacoffee page, basically the same thing, or youtube membership, If you want to help fund the adventures, links in the description 🙌
Very well done !! It's a shame the route couldn't avoid Manchester & did you ever wish you had taken the Bombtrack ? I put your channel up instead of the news these days it's so much more positive .
i didn't mind the manchester part tbh but i did go through at night so was quieter, the only time really id like the bombtrack was to enjoy some of the descents a bit more brecons beacons, corrieyairack pass, but ultimately the long days on the road it was nice to be on the sonder
HI, just watched your movie about GB Divide.... epic ride.... especially the Scotland stretch? Certainly one for my bucket list. I'm currently (primarily) riding an eMTB... do you think there are possibilities to charge my bike somwhere along the way (Scotland-stretch) every 100-120 kms ? Or is the track really remote and is safer to go no-eMTB ? Regarding your unpacking video ("UNPACKING MY BIKEPACKING BIKE").... I might have missed it, but don't you pack a sleeping mattress ?
Hi,i think it would be a struggle to use a ebike along the scotland section, between john o'groats and contin their isn't much of anything, a hotel at Altnaharra. if starting at john o groats thats 136km to the hotel there is a tea room at rosehall around 90km after that might let you charge. it would take some planning and probably a bit of luck to get more out of the battery in places. here is the gear i used for this trip th-cam.com/video/epcZ81wqFCo/w-d-xo.html And nope i dont use a sleeping mat
@@KeepSmilingAdventures Brave... without a matress... I use one not so much for comfort, but for insulation against the cold. Regarding the Scotland stretch.... could you estimate amount on-road vs off-road. Based on your video I'd say it's mostly wide open landscapes and not so much windy single-trails... right ?
I did make a video over on the second channel, i think i said it would be good to incorporate the second city divide route to Manchester, i think thats better than the GNT.
There is something special in the way you speak Josh. Watched the full video weeks ago, now this summary. Will watch again with my wife.
❤️

Amazing journey , Why you don't have 10 times the amount of subscribers I really don't know !
Chapeau.
Why does Josh not have 200,000 more followers?
loved this one , Do you think it would be possible to do a version without the locked gates & hike a bike ?
TV quality documentary filmmaking!
Josh, when are you going to set up a Patreon so that people here who can afford it can help you fund this inspiring work?
Hi Jason I don't have a patreon, but do have a buymeacoffee page, basically the same thing, or youtube membership, If you want to help fund the adventures, links in the description 🙌

I did indeed
How would you compare the GNT with the northern bit of the GB divide? Cheers!
I did make a video over on the second channel, i think i said it would be good to incorporate the second city divide route to Manchester, i think thats better than the GNT.

Nice one Josh, can I ask without the detour to repair your bike, how long did your trip take?
I think 13/14 i lost track after the detour
Thank you 😊
