I am 38 years old and I ride a 2006 1250cc sportster and 2 stroke dirtbikes … I am also a chainsaw collector I have about 20 and I’m not brand loyal. I have Huskies, stihl, partner, Sachs Dolmar , pioneers , and an echo. Your videos mean a lot to me man
I am 52 years old and have been riding since I was 3. I currently own a 2022 Kawasaki KLR650 which is my daily driver and a 2019 Suzuki Hayabusa turbo. My Kawasaki has 39hp and my Suzuki has 340hp. I will probably own motorcycles until I die.
That 'Busa sounds fun!!! Drag race it? Come to Mid Ohio some year for the vintage bike rally. You'll see everything there. Old Harleys, old Euro bikes, I've seen Vincent Black Shadows, Hodaca's, Bultaco's. . . you name it. And if you're trying to rebuild something, you'll probably find the parts for sale there somewhere.
I’m 53 years old ( born in ‘71) and have owned many bikes myself. I started with motocross bikes with a 2 year old 1979 YZ 80. I bought 2 brand new bikes over the years. A 1992 Honda XR650L first then a 2008 KTM Super Duke 990. Time has flown by so fast.
Love the slide show Awsome bikes I’ve got an xl1200 that’s a lot of fun. Ridden dirt bikes since age10 A Ducati in the house? Mad respect -even more than already
Sweet!! I grew up with a little mini bike that did 50mph and blew 2 motors up in it, a Honda xr100 that I rode the snot out of and finally a Kawi kdx175 that was bored out to a 200 that I thrashed hard. Miss riding big time and see a bike in my future….. Enjoy, ride hard, fast and safe.
Great video, and glad to see that you're back on two wheels! I was away from bikes for a little over 30 years and one day my grown sons got to see me riding a friend's TW 200 in a rough, off road situation....both of them said, 'dad, why do you not own a bike??' That Christmas they went together with my wife and got me a ten-year stored (low miles) DR 350 which was an awesome bike to renew a license and get back to bike maintenance, mods, and riding! Four years ago I substantially upgraded to a Yamaha Tenere 700. I live in Alaska and have covered just about every road of the South Central, Central and Northern part of the state.....absolutely love being back on two wheels! Ride safe, Tinman!!
I ride a 72 FLH 88 cub S&S kit , head flowed by Branch with large valves and hard seats installed , used to be every day rider . It has no problem getting down the road !
Cool history. Thanks for sharing. Had a magna v45 years ago. Just got an 03 heritage 2 years ago. Dont ride a ton but love it when i can get out even if its just a run to town and home.
Man, that Duc 750 sport brought tears to my eyes. My best friend had one and basically let me ride it whenever I wanted to and I ended up keeping it for a good while. He ended up having a rare form bone cancer in his C Spine and died from surgical complications at 33. He was a paramedic and was my mentor on the trucks and turns out , my grandparents and his parents grew up in the same little rural town in North Carolina, so it was a really cool background and the beginning of a fast friendship. He rode that Duc across the country 3 times before I ever got to ride it. It was the most well balanced sport bike I have ever ridden and he had gotten a MotoGuzzi California 3 so I more or less got to ride either one , but my preference was the Duc. That Concourse is a really nice bike. My neck doesn’t allow me to ride any more but that Duc picture sure stirred some memories. Much love to you and definitely be careful out there Tinman. Rest in peace Vic Pearson. You may be gone, but definitely not forgotten 🤙🤙
Just thought I would share a fix for oiling problem on farmertec 372 . Oil slot on saw was not centered with bar oiler hole, lowered hole on bar fixed problem. Hole in bar wasn't receiving enough oil to keep from stopping up. Works now!!!
Congratulations on the new bike!😃 Haven't ever had a street bike yet. Have rode an 08 sportster 1200, 0? dyna and 1? ultra. Had fun on an R6 and scared myself on a zx14r lol. Have thought about it, would like to get one someday but no burning desire yet. Only bikes I've owned, weren't bikes but I got an 84 honda atc250r around 08, an 05 yamaha yzf450 a year later, then sold both in 2011 during a rough time to pay bills. Still have the 85 honda atc250sx I bought and fixed up in 2014 but haven't had it out in 3 months.
Was given a basket case 1982 CanAm 175 Qualifier 25 years ago. Rebuilt and restored it completely except for the trans, which was OK. Has been sitting under a shed for years, but I'm thinking about pulling it out and making it beautiful again when the weather cools off. My first and only motorcycle.
Hey hey Tinman, I knew the big reveal was going to be scooter related, could just feel it. I'm truly happy for you. My first bike at 11, was a yamaha 60 Enduro all 2 inches of travel. In 78 I was 14 I was livin 28 mile out a dirt road told my uncle I had 150 buck he worked at a body shop came home with a yamaha r5 350 2 cylinder 2 stroke stock within a couple months I put off and on tires on it chambers, k&n air filters. Was not even the same bike after that. That taught me a valuable lesson. That's how I look at chainsaws just like that R5. Always wanted to rat rod out a kawasaki Volcan 1500..
Hi tinman , glad your back on the bike mate , i ride a Honda crf450x enduro bike not as often as I would like but when I do i enjoy it so much , i rebuilt the top end late last year and she needs some love atm , tyre's chain and sprockets ,hopefully get it done soon so i can rip some skids , hopefully doing a bit more riding with my 2 x boys also , motorbikes are so much fun just like chainsaws , Cheers Luke from Australia
Mr. Tinman i was woederong when you'd get a Moto. I just picked up a 1971 Yamaha two stroke enduro and I know you would love the project. Have fun with yer new bike!
I knew there was a reason I liked you😂! I have a 1981 4 speed kicker and electric 80 cube Shovelhead. I fully get all the reasons you bought the Kawasaki. I have been blessed to own a few different bikes, but nothing I could just jump on do a 1000klm round trip and do it again without fixing something broken. Your bike makes sense.
Had a passion for motorcycles in my early years and I still carry a motorcycle license. May never ride again but I still have wonderful memories. Be safe my friend that is what is different in my area the amount of traffic is unreal nowadays. 🙏♥️
Tinman glade to hear you will be enjoying life and family, good for you , I've had hot rods but my love was 2 wheels, i use to ride a softtail custom that i had a full screaming eagle kit done with some extra motor work it was definitely a hang on tight bike loved it 👍👍
Ben riding my whole life. Currently have three bikes. 20002 Suzuki gsxr 600 Telefonica replica 2002 Suzuki gsxr 1000 track day bike and a 2000 Harley dyna convertible. If you make Bunyan this year we’ll have to talk bikes.
Bought a dual sport last summer DR650 suzuki my first bike in 20+ years smashed 1500 miles in a little over 3 months parked it for winter but one warm December day I got it out for a quick run to the parts store... on the way home I got hit by an old man and woman in a small suv when they crossed the center line on me in a curve; totaled my bike and launched me over the top of the car and slammed me on to the road 30 some feet away, no broken bones but ended up having a couple surgeries and a 6"x8" skin graft on my left knee 8 months later im still healing idk when I'll get to ride again but I will ride again!!! In the meanwhile you be safe out there, regardless of your skill it's the other people that you want to watch out for!
Dad had an ST1100 when I had just gotten my motorcycle license (I always said they looked like Yoda from the front) Loved that bike! I've always been kind-of a sport touring fan. Trying to decide now if I want a K1300gt or a Concourse 14 🤔
Hey Tinman! Hate to admit this, but.... my first (well, only) motorbike was a Honda. Very humbling when I realized that the Navy hospital where I was working -- - had syringes with bigger displacement than the Honda. 50CC syringes, 49CC motor. ouch. Reliability with Japanese bikes?? Nah. This 'bike' used the cumulative resistance of all the lightbulbs to control the voltage. If one small bulb (say, a turn signal) blew, the other bulbs, including the headlight, started to blow. ::shake head::
I have been wanting to register my bike all summer. I purchased it new in 1983. CB1000 Custom Honda. It runs like a dream to this day. Love riding. My fist bike I paid $83 a SL70 dirt bike...lol. TC Mahalo Tinman 🤙🤙🤙

My long time riding buddy road a klr650. That "little" bike was a very capable rig.

Hey Tinman, when you said Japanese, I was hoping Hayabusa.😅 I drive a souped up 1987 Sportster minus front fender. Sketchy.

As far as I know the parts ability for Kawasaki should be great. I hear Suzuki parts can be difficult to get lately
Wind in the hair is a great feeling!
