The turning upside down and hitting on the palm is a show. Box is constructed so that it will slide diagonally..

There is a pin that locks it to keep it from sliding. You can see it in the corner.
He has to hit it to retract the lock pin.

That diagonal cut for an "impossible" dove tail joint is actually used in wood working although not that common. I believe it's used more in Japanese wood working instead.

Already know this trick you um you see you see where the red part is upside down hit it with the the wood is and after flipping back and you have to like fixing one of the corners and slide it towards the door of the corners and I can't take it out pretty easy

There are a lot of puzzles that have no visible moving parts or locks. Usually such puzzles are locked with metal pins and magnets. To release the pin you have to hit the box. That's ot some kind of random move. You have to find the correct spot where to hit.
