Just a quick tip.. the little indentation in the grip right hand side 2:55 before you fit the grip is for storing the rubber weather proofing cap that you removed to allow the pins to connect, this way you don't wonder where you put it a year later :)
Just a quick tip the rubber connector piece that is on the bottom of the xt3 actually fits into the grip on the right hand side to stop you from losing it :). Also remember to alternate your batteries, it depletes the batteries from left, right, and then the one in the body. Anyways thanks for the review :).
Extra batteries the very same ones from Fuji can be purchased on Ebay for much less. By the way the video has a good input in relation to the charging accessory that comes with the grip, and it is much smaller than DSLR camera grips. Thank you.
Hi Jon, just bought a brand new X-T30 II with a VG-XT3 power grip. Just see that there is no way to install the power grip of Fuji (any model) because it doesn’t have pins?
Hey! So I asked a Fuji rep this at a trade show. Appears only the xt2/3/4 series have bottom connection pins as they’re the only pro range of the x series! Sucks I know as I used to have the xt20!
Hmm not sure if I'll get a reply seeing how old this video is but I bought this used and it didn't come with a pin cap. Any suggestions on keeping the pins safe when traveling and such and I have the grip off? Don't want to accidentally bend it
Thanks! Yes it’s a great setup, it’s very square and feels too heavy so I’d prefer to have just camera only no grip for weddings. I think for video grip is a must though
Great Vid - I have just used it to unbox mine! Please upload more vids of the grip and charging (I know you touched lightly on it when you did this vid) Thanks
When I shoot an hour-long video with the battery grip, the camera gets hot. This will damage my machine. Do you know what the solution to this problem is?
Hey, you can’t charge the battery inside the camera and the two in the grip at once. But you can charge the grip with a plug and the camera separately with a power adapter.
Tough one man. I have a Feiyutech ak2000, which has the strength to support the camera with a grip but I found it didn’t have enough clearance on the up and down axis to be able to get floor to ceiling style shots.
@@JonSparkman do you have a video on AK2K & X-T3 with the grip at all? Ive got a AK4K and an X-T3 and was thinking of a battery grip, but I dont want to sacrifice gimbal movement..
No, as far as I’ve tested the internal battery is on a separate charging system to the two in the grip. So charging via usbc power bank will charge one internal, and it will run off the contents of the power bank too.
Hey, oddly not that I can see. The battery inside the camera requires its own charging, via either the usbc port on the camera or to be taken out and charged separately. The two batteries inside the grip will charge when plugged in to the power lead. If you run the camera whilst on this charge cable the entire device will just run off mains.

I saw that! Only realised the next day. Sadly, no where to store the cap for the grip pins!
Happened to me today 😂

Good job dude! Very straight forward video that was pleasing to watch.

U can PIT in to the grip rubber from the camera ;)
Nice unboxing. The ability to run it off the mains is a clever touch by Fuji, brilliant for indoor video work.
The only thing i look at in this video is the Beyerdynamic headphone at the wall ;)
Dt990, great pair!
Yes,i have the DT770s and The Custom One Pro Plus, and i just love them, but nice camera that xt3 ,i have the fuji xt1x2 and Tx20 :)
the rubber thing what protected connectors on xt3 goes in that empty square slot on the grip so u wont loss it.
Haha yes I have learnt a lot since the unboxing. Thanks

Hello! I had the grip for 4 years with no cap and only by the end it was missing some shots using the portrait shutter. It’s stronger than I thought!
really good unboxing videos!! do you think the xt-3 with battery grip is a good camera for filming weddings?

Hey, does the camera stay on during the use of all 3 batteries or it turns off to swap between batteries when 1 of them reaches 0%?
Fully continuous! And you can pull out the battery tray to swap them whilst it runs off the third.
When I shoot an hour-long video with the battery grip, the camera gets hot. This will damage my machine. Do you know what the solution to this problem is?
The camera has thermal protection so it’ll turn off before it starts damaging parts. Having it run off mains power will help.
Can you charge all three batteries in one go? Either via adapter or type-c port? So that you don't ever need to pull them out of the camera?
Hey, you can’t charge the battery inside the camera and the two in the grip at once. But you can charge the grip with a plug and the camera separately with a power adapter.
do u think the camera would be good for photography Fujifilm X-T3 Mirrorless Digital Camera - Silver + Fujifilm VG-XT3 Vertical Grip
Yes!
Jon Sparkman thanks man I’m a kid I hope when I get older I can buy this and take photos for people and for Instagram
Is it possible to charge bateries in the grip if the grip is not attached to the camera? Thx!
Yes, the grip will charge plugged in to the power adapter and charge separately from the camera
@@JonSparkman Thank you!!!
I wonder how this would balance on my zhiyun weebill lab gimbal.

Anyone know if this battery grip with the XT3 would balance and work properly on the Ronin SC?
Would also be using sigma 18-35 and fringer adapter so wondering if that'll be more than the weight capacity of the Ronin SC.
Good job,nice!

After battery grip how much photos can be shot ?
With three batteries fitted around 1100
I wanted to know if the grip came with batteries or not.
they dont
No, but you can pick up the batteries for really cheap on amazon. They don’t have to be the genuine brand ones.
Another great vid but please, please ditch the music...
It’s gone in newer videos!
First 🤞🏾
I ALWAYS FIND MUSIC IN THESE VIDEOS VERY ANNOYING.
