I discovered that Marco Uccellini's dates are 1603--1680. Glad that although he passed away 342 years ago thanks to Voices of Music his music lives on.

I sit here, stunned and smiling tonight in great joy and contentment at this wonderful and overlooked music from far back, beautiful, eternal. The often overlooked period is and always was of great value for a deep relationship with music and the arts, in peaceful balance.
I keep coming back to this. Uccelini's Bergamasca is one of my all time favourite pieces of music, and this version... It makes me wish I knew the technical side of music, to properly praise this rendition. As it is, my own primitive expressions will have to suffice: Music good, make happy, hooray.

The sheer joy they get from playing is evident in every note they play. Your musicians are so incredibly attuned to each other, which makes it doubly enjoyable for the listeners. I am so happy I found this channel! It's helped keep my anxiety at bay, what with all the uncertainty in the world these days. Keep 'em coming!
What a beautiful piece! Also a pleasure to see and hear Ms. Blumenstock, who has played so beautifully for years with VoM, playing together with Ms. Youssefian, alongside Ms. Reed. Listening to this ensemble is always a pleasure. I will add that it is equally pleasurable to be introduced to the music of a composer I've never heard of before, Marco Uccellini. This is also a gift from VoM.

Strangely enough, his dates are incorrect in most reference books. Marco was born in 1610.
