It's summer time. I'm sitting in the garden, birds are singing, the sun is shining brightly, the wind gently caresses my skin and I'm listening to this wonderful music and marvelous performance. The troubles of the world seems so far away. If only this pleasure could be endless!

I keep coming back to this. Uccelini's Bergamasca is one of my all time favourite pieces of music, and this version... It makes me wish I knew the technical side of music, to properly praise this rendition. As it is, my own primitive expressions will have to suffice: Music good, make happy, hooray.

I discovered that Marco Uccellini's dates are 1603--1680. Glad that although he passed away 342 years ago thanks to Voices of Music his music lives on.
Strangely enough, his dates are incorrect in most reference books. Marco was born in 1610.
@@VoicesofMusic Thank you! I can imagine that vital statistics from that time period that show up in sources such as wikipedia are not always reliable.
It just one of those funny things, his dates are wrong in almost every article and recording.

Me again. Every one of you, this is just wildly thrilling. Scorching violins. Viola da gamba and harpsichord, rock solid yet light afoot. The baroque guitar is absolutely delicious. Enthusiasm-toying-with-outlandishness from Uccellini. The sound engineering - how can such crisp richness be possible. The videography, the framing, clarity, depth, colors. A slight dissonance was hit at 2:44, but these professionals were just smiling about the incident. Everybody makes mistakes, even pros. The performance was excellent, they kept the dance-character all the way. Bravo!

What a beautiful piece! Also a pleasure to see and hear Ms. Blumenstock, who has played so beautifully for years with VoM, playing together with Ms. Youssefian, alongside Ms. Reed. Listening to this ensemble is always a pleasure.
I will add that it is equally pleasurable to be introduced to the music of a composer I've never heard of before, Marco Uccellini. This is also a gift from VoM.
