For those of you looking to purchase this skimmer, I have one in the back of my Waterbox Peninsula 15 gallon tank and it works great. I have it in my rear middle chamber with my heater and it fits snug, but no problem. I actually have a bag of marine pure gems in the same compartment too. The skimmer is pretty consistent and I empty the collection cup every couple days. It does pull a wetter solution out of the tank at the level I have it, but I don't mind that. Highly recommend if you can fit it. I do a tear down once a month to clean the pump out because once it gets filled with detritus, it tends to stop skimming, but it is easy to disassemble and reassemble. I've also read complaints of the magnet not being strong enough and I don't find that to be the case at all. The collection cup can be a little difficult to remove with one hand, so I usually use on hand to hold the skimmer while I pull it off so the skimmer doesn't move. I do wish that they had an overflow built into the collection cup so that when neglected, it doesn't foam out the top of the cup, but this is a minor complaint and I could easily drill a hole to allow the collected fluid to overflow back into the tank rather than out the top and potentially over the rear side of my aquarium.

Is this protein skimmer silent and producing less micro bubbles in tank?
I am comparing this with Tunze 9001 skimmer

@@khittikalnikom1546 I have no issues with bubbles, large or small. It’s pretty quiet. Not silent, but quiet enough for me. Everyone’s noise tolerance is different. I’ve noticed when it starts getting clogged it does get noisier and that’s my cue to pull it out for a tear down cleaning-about once every 3-4 weeks works good. Takes me about 5 minutes or so.

Do you think this would fit in the back of a fluval spec 2 tank?

With a tank that small, we would suggest skipping the skimmer all together. It's going to be difficult to get a skimmer to perform consistently in a tank as small as 2.6 gallons like the Fluval SPEC tank. A larger weekly water change of about 1 gallon is super easy and will help to keep your tank parameters in check.

If you keep macro algae instead of coral you can skip it I think
