Enjoying this channel very much. I don't have a serious photo rig yet, but I'm learning a lot here. I too am a fan of seeing nice, sharp accurately colored stars in photos.
I have the EdgeHD 9.25 with the hyperstar that i am waiting for clear dark skys. Getting some smoke and barely no astronomical night has kept my rig in doors lately.
Man. I’ve been playing with these old hyperstar and rasa8 images and damn if I knew how good software would get I wouldn’t have changed scopes. I just did the usual before and after blur x. Holy cow. You gotta see this. I’ll def be making a video on it with some improved pointers. Basically don’t sweat the details :)
I have the 14" RASA36. These fast scopes do have their issues and require a lot of patience. tools like BlueXterminator make a huge difference when your backspace and tilt are not perfect.

Playing with this older data has definitely showed me how recoverable the old data is. Even some of my worse images look pristine now :)

Yes sir it is a very very intense development time. Setiastro has literally changed the game in the past 6 months like never before!
Consider the SS130 if you like stars
I am definitely starting to focus on stars more. Since the starnet days it seems so much focus has been to simply limit what they add to an image
:) I am really focusing on bringing stars back to the front of an image
