First of all, great work with your youtube channel! 🙏🏻 I‘m a retailer of LED Headlights in Switzerland so I know the manufacturer of the headlights you have on the car. Great products. The latest headlights you‘ve just fitted are a copy light of a similar looking model. The E-mark is not legit on it. A company like LR parts should in my opinion not sell non-street legal headlights in Europe. I suggest your folk double check the paperwork of that supplier. You can compare the E-mark with the other two models you‘ve had on the vehicle for testing. There is much more info on them. Like: „HCR“ = Dip and Mainbeam „PL“ = Plastic glass „A“ = position light „RL“ = running light „4 digit Number under E-mark“ = unique product number „Number on right of E-mark“ = Ref number of light output. An indication of a fake E-mark is when the above mentioned infos are missing. Also Having DOT / SAE and E-mark is not possible, as the bean is different. 😅 Btw. I‘m not saying the copy lights are bad, it‘s just they didn‘t do the homologation so in case of an accident, the insurance might not pay. Homologation is very expensive, so that‘s mainly the reason, why copy lights are cheaper then the legit lights. They need to pay for all that cost that can be in the 5-digits and have to add that to the products sadly. Hope the info helps!
Bought these and just had them fitted, once a few other electrical problems were solved that were discovered during fitting they are great. So much brighter.
I did not have a positive experience with low cost LED headlights, the dip pattern cut-off line was defused, which led to dazzling oncoming traffic and getting flashed. I adjusted the lights to lower the dip cut-off line but the beam did not go far enough down the road. Even on full beam they did not through out much light. I swapped to Britpart Lynx Eye LEDs, a far better light that works really well.
I had these before I bought the lynx Halo units, I had them running for nearly 2 years, they were ok however they do mist up at times even with the little cap removed, and your correct the plastic lens do scratch but at that price you cant expect much, full beam isn’t that good as I remember but much better than the oem units. I bought mine via ebay around the same cost.
Whats the beam pattern like at night though? After all thats the whole point of headlights? Great fitment guide but the video would have really benefitted from a quick night driving shot from in the car and an opinion on them vs the others you have tested.
These are from Nakatanega. Here's the link for you. www.lrparts.net/suhtal-b-b-heritage-style-defender-headlight-surrounds-black-surround-and-black-bezel-nakatanenga-branded.html
Will they get hot enough to melt snow build-up when u drive though a blizzard? Not many LED lights for Def do. Meaning they are no good if you live where it is cold.
Also the dipped beam didn't seem to have much of a cut off angle but not much of a test on a textured garage door. The test will be on the road and if every other driver ends up flashing you then probably that's why they are cheap.
There is no pattern to these lights . There should be a flat beam and a rise to the nearside. Take them to your local MOT station and you will see a blob in the beam setter. You are searing the eyes of anyone coming the other way. Once blinded by the intense white light of LEDs it can take quite a while for your eyes to recover and that's when accidents occur . These are dangerous . Most likely Chineseium cheap copies and if experience is anything to go by the heat sinks will be crap and there will be charred wiring at the connections. Ideal for an electrical fire. I have failed several of these. Correctly made LEDs produce the correct pattern . I have seen the correct versions of these lights . They produce a perfect beam pattern . They are not cheap.
Whats the light output like though? My experience is they are all pretty rubbish (the cheap ones) and I have tried three now. My clear lens Wipac's with good halogen bulbs were vastly better and that includes a friends £450 paid pair of LED units. So without a night time test this is a garbage video.

@LRLiveUK can you reply to this comment please to clarify if they are legal for use in the UK.
Bought these and just had them fitted, once a few other electrical problems were solved that were discovered during fitting they are great.

I’ve ordered these as a bit of a punt for the price, not fitted yet, but now, I’m excited to fit them! Proper bang for you buck!
Did you fit these? Considering buying but a little hesitant due to some of the comments

haha.. I've only just seen your next video is NIGHT DRIVING... FFS. I should probably check these things. Now subscribed anyway!
Don't see any uk road legal marks on the lights?
Where are your light surrounds and grille from?
These are from Nakatanega. Here's the link for you.

No, this is an issue with all LEDs. They don't get warm enough to melt snow or ice.
What LED light pack did you use for the other lights (indicators, side lights etc)?
These are Wipac units. There's a fitting video on the channel a while back.
Got mine from eBay for half that price. Same product.
They look cool on the truck, but the beam pattern was awful. ☹
Looks like I need to get them out on the road at night proper
Light’s don’t come with black bezel LR only sell silver, looks like your bezel came from another kit?

Thanks for taking the time to reply, I’ve ordered them just awaiting delivery 🍻 glad I found your channel.
High beam looked a bit high?
Also the dipped beam didn't seem to have much of a cut off angle but not much of a test on a textured garage door. The test will be on the road and if every other driver ends up flashing you then probably that's why they are cheap.
Sounds like a road trip test would be a good plan for you guys.
Who cares what viewers say! When it comes to good tips and money saving products that we get the benefit from, sod the moaners!😅😅
Why not say 66 and not add + tax at the end
Do you ever have anything positive to say about this channel? Why watch it?
The website lists prices before tax because they sell all around the world and not everyone pays tax. Cheers

Garbage is a bit strong. But I agree, a night time test would be conclusive. Stay tuned and I'll get one done very soon.
Terrible headlights. Not even road legal.
