You’re right. Same thing happened to Seinfeld. Starts off him reality based humour, then in the later seasons it morphs into self-parody farce comedy. And like Seinfeld, the first 4 seasons are great, then it’s hit and miss for a few seasons, then total goofiness for the last couple seasons.
