Your video was amazing you are so lucky to see were the quiet man was filmed I was just watching the movie and came across your video .I have got to go there one days. Thanks for making this film.
Aye, ya's did a fine job in goin' back to where John Wayne and Maureen O'Hara fell in love in the movie, "The Quiet Man''. One of me' favorite movies and this brings back those warm feelings of me longing to see Ireland meself. Thank you.
In 2005 I went to Ireland to find some of “The Quiet Man” locations. The bridge is called the Leam Bridge and on the way there I stopped at a small shop and asked about where I might find it. The shopkeeper, in typical Irish fashion, asked, “And what would you be wanting to look at that for?” I explained my interest in the film and he said, “Oh, ‘The Quiet Man’ bridge. It’s just up the road.” And, sure enough, a mile or so up the road, there was a billboard announcing “The Quiet Man Bridge.” Not hard to find at all. Most of the locations are right in and around the village of Cong and the grounds of Ashford Castle, which borders the village. The cottage and the location of the horse race are harder to find. I found the cottage by stopping at a local pub and asking.
