One piece of good advice if you are coming to visit, fly into Shannon Airport and you will be ideally located for travelling. Lots of people fly into Dublin and realise they have made a mistake with crazy high hotel prices and miles away from these and other gems, but do visit it's a beautiful part of the world ☘️🇮🇪☘️
Thank you for your comment and the helpful advice for travelers coming to visit Ireland. Flying into Shannon Airport is indeed a great option, as it provides easy access to many of the country's most beautiful destinations. We appreciate your insights and hope that it helps other viewers plan their trip more efficiently.
It really depends what parts of Ireland they want to see. People coming to visit Ireland need to plan where they want to visit because you could be here a month a still not see it all.❤ 🇮🇪
@@pyndtvI lived in Dublin for most of the 70’s. I loved the beauty of its Georgian and Victorian architecture, Stephen’s green, the ancient treasures and manuscripts, the fantastic music. During my years there, I saw most of Ireland except the North because it was during the Troubles. All of Ireland is beautiful but Dublin will always be the home of my heart.
I've been to a fare share of countries over the years but Ireland remains my favorite. I've enjoyed all the other countries but there is a certain magic about this country that separates it from the others. One beautiful locale after the next with a great vibe to go along with the cheery nature of the people. Once again, I've met fine people in all countries but no one is more welcoming to a stranger than the Irish.
Absolutely agree! Ireland's enchanting landscapes and welcoming people create an unmatched magic. It's fantastic to hear it's your favorite destination!
I love Dublin. I lived there all of the 70’s. I travelled extensively from Dublin, usually hitchhiking. Those days are gone but it was a wonderful way to meet Irish people. Everyone who picked me up insisted on taking me for a cup of tea or a pint. It was truly magical.

The village itself is beautiful (with the castle, where you can stay, at the bottom of the village) but the scenery is outstanding. There are coves with beaches plus it is pretty much surrounded by the sea.

Recently went to Adare as I’d read that it was one of the most beautiful villages in Ireland , but what no-one seems to mention is that it’s on a very busy road, and despite it being pretty, the traffic going through it spoils everything about it. We gave up looking at the village and did the riverside walk, the high point of which was the old Adare railway station, which still has the tracks in place. If it ever gets a bypass, it may be worth another visit.

Not sure where some of your information comes from. You seem to believe that in Adare there is a castle at the heart of the village as well as Desmond Castle which is to the north, but both photos actually show Desmond Castle which is the only castle in Adare . And there are no "rows" of thatched cottages either, just one row of about 10 cottages. And Adare Manor is a private hotel, so you can't just wander through the gardens.
Thank you for sharing your perspective. According to the official website of Adare Manor, guests can wander through the gardens and the estate of the hotel. The website states that “the 840-acre estate of formal gardens, peaceful forests and rolling parklands is open to guests for exploration” and that “guests may design a bespoke itinerary of activities in and around the sweeping estate” . Therefore, Adare Manor is not a private hotel that restricts access to its gardens.
@@globetrekker1670 Yes, "guests" can wander through the garden. it costs hundreds of euro a night to stay there and is booked months ahead for afternoon tea, so if you are visiting the village you will not be able to wander anywhere, because it is a private hotel and does restrict access to just "guests"
@@globetrekker1670 I was just there for lunch last week....with a reservation. The guy at the gate checked the reservation before letting us proceed. Might want to clear up.... "is not a private hotel".

Very difficult to come up with five. There are a lot more. Five in each county would be a better approach. Kinsale and Kenmare are probably more towns than villages. What population constitutes a village in Ireland? Glengariff is nice, Dingle (although again more of a town), Inistioge, Terryglass, Dalkey are a few villages that easily come to mind.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts! Your idea of exploring more places across each county is fantastic, and we'll definitely consider it for future content. Thanks for your engagement and for highlighting these beautiful spots!
Thank you for your comment and for suggesting Westport and Donegal Town as additional beautiful destinations in Ireland. They are both stunning places that offer unique experiences and we are sure many travelers would love to visit them as well.

It is the Healy Pass. The Healy Pass is located in the Beara Peninsula, in the Caha mountain range, in south west Ireland. It is a mountain pass at an elevation of 334 metres that offers a unique experience from beginning to end. Thank you for your comment!

I'm from Ireland and I hope she continues to pronounce it in the way that is most natural for her. Variety is the spice of life! How boring life would be if we all pronounced everything the same way.
@@helenaville5939 I just said try to, implying it's not that serious. Suggesting something small like that is not suddenly demanding uniformity of speech and accent worldwide.
@@ranica47 If it's not that serious why say it at all !!! Relax and just allow people to do things in their own unique way. I wish you well regardless.
@@helenaville5939 Why have teachers? Why have set ways to pronounce words? If someone was pronouncing Youghal as "Yo-gel" would you not tell them that it's "Yawl"? Or would you insist that their varied way of saying it is more important? My OP wasn't too preachy, I just pointed it out, didn't use insulting language or say that it was life or death. Nevertheless if someone can't point something out without being thought of as some anti variety curmudgeon that's a big, big stretch. If someone butchers the names Saoirse or Caoimhe for example would you let them know? Otherwise we've ended up with Caitlín being pronounced like (ugh) "Kate-lin" instead of "Kotchleen" because, variety. I also wish you well.

That's wonderful to hear! Ireland is such a beautiful and welcoming place!
Dingle is our favorite!
Thank you for your comment! We're so glad to hear that you love Dingle.
We actually just released a video about Dingle called "Exploring Dingle: Revealing the Hidden Gems of Ireland's West Coast." We think you'll enjoy it, and here's the link: th-cam.com/video/uTGajFT7qKo/w-d-xo.html.

Çok güzel görüntüler için teşekkürler. Tabiatı çok seviyorum, seyrine doyamıyorum. Doğa sever bütün insanlara Türkiye/İzmir den selamlar sevgiler.. Dünyamızı koruyalım lütfen..
I would also recommend Carlingford in County Louth, and Westport in County Mayo. Malahide, North County Dublin is lovely too, but I live here, so I'm biased ☺️
Thank you for your great suggestions! Carlingford, Westport, and Malahide are indeed beautiful places worth exploring. It's always wonderful to have recommendations from someone who knows the area well. Your insights are much appreciated!

Is this the same "Globe Trekker" that put out brilliant travel shows for the backpacking set, that aired on PBS in the US, a couple of decades ago?
Thank you for your comment and for asking about our channel. While we may share some similarities with "Globe Trekker", our channel is actually brand new to TH-cam and not affiliated with any previous travel shows. We are excited to bring fresh and unique travel content to our viewers and hope you enjoy our videos!
@@globetrekker1670Guests means Guests STAYING at the hotel! You cannot just wander into the grounds at Will.

Wow wow wow Ireland is an amazing country, but is it really the world we live in???
Ireland is indeed an amazing country. It's hard to believe that such beauty exists in our world, but it's true! If you ever get the chance, we highly recommend visiting Ireland to experience its magic firsthand.

Where is the lake located at :19 in the video? Gorgeous!!
Thank you for your comment! The lake shown at :19 in the video is located in Killarney National Park, which is in County Kerry, Ireland. It's a truly beautiful spot and definitely worth a visit if you're ever in the area!
Can't understand one word due to the volume of the background music!
We are sorry to hear that the background music was too loud and made it difficult for you to understand the video. We appreciate your feedback and will take it into consideration for future videos to ensure that the audio levels are balanced properly. Thank you for watching.
Westport and Donegal Town.
Thank you for your comment and for suggesting Westport and Donegal Town as additional beautiful destinations in Ireland. They are both stunning places that offer unique experiences and we are sure many travelers would love to visit them as well.
The Buren part of the cliff yes great the parking to go to see " badly managed & expensive charging for the visit charging for parking!!!!! as one would say " arnaque " must be the result of Trump property nearby......😢

Finished with the charming Kenmare - a beautiful town in a beautiful country! Is there an ugly village in Ireland???
It's hard to find an ugly village in such a picturesque country! Kenmare is indeed a gem, and Ireland's villages each have their own unique charm. Thank you for appreciating the beauty of Kenmare and Ireland as a whole!

I would have loved to hear the narrator, but my eighty year old ears couldn't hear her for the background racket.

Kinsale isn't a village.
Thank you for your comment and for clarifying that Kinsale is not technically considered a village. While it may not fit the technical definition, Kinsale is still a charming and picturesque destination in Ireland that many travelers enjoy visiting.
it was much better when it was full of irish people
We understand your sentiment. Communities can change over time, but the essence and charm of a place can often endure. Ireland has a rich cultural heritage that still shines through in many aspects of life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts!
Yes thats true, but sadly the most important aspect of culture is the people, and sadly in Ireland they are being inundated@@globetrekker1670
it is, between 70 to 80%.
Exactly Eoin! The "diversity" is making the towns and villages so attractive. I am Irish. Sad to see What pur country is becoming.
@@doloresaquines1529 what is our country becoming exactly?
Btw try not to pronounce it as "I-yer land" Ire should be one syllable.
Thank you for your comment and for the helpful pronunciation tip!

Beautiful villages? Shame about the people!
Thanks for sharing your thoughts. It's unfortunate to hear that your experience with the people in the beautiful villages wasn't as positive as expected.
