you should start showing us how well these chargers mount on the car, like how good the suction is to the dash vs window, how stable it is while driving and what the best positions are for that specific holder. tbh those details are far more important than knowing how fast it charges and how hot it gets, none of us buy them for the sole purpose of charging the phone. we buy them to mount the phone to the car
Came to the comments to say the same... mounting options and the real world results of testing them with large/heavy phones is basically the entire reason I'm looking for reviews. I super don't care about the charging speed, and barely even care that they charge at all. HOW DO THEY MOUNT AND DO THEY WORK WELL / LAST LONG?
I used to be really interested in these car mounts, but my new car has wireless CarPlay. I often don't even take may phone out of my pocket now. It's SO nice. By the way, Aaron, you may remember me from one of your live streams -- I owned a 2013 MazdaSpeed 3. Unfortunately, I totaled it. It was 10 years old and still going strong -- such a sad ending 🙁. BUT, now I'm driving a GR Corolla, and really like it a lot. It's an even peppier 6 speed hot hatch with 300hp. Even got close to the same color as my old speed 3. But I digress...
once the iphone is charged do these magsafe charger cool down? at what point do they kick back in to charging? Will using these for long drives impact battery of iphone?
Glad you didn’t recommend the anker one. I’ve gone through 3 of the them because the suction cup rubber gets really weak and tears away from the plastic part in less than a year. They kept honoring the warranty, but I gave up setting the new one up cause it’s just gonna do the same thing. It’s still sitting the the shipping package for the last 2-3 months.
I still don't understand why you never include a Peltier effect Qi2 charger in your reviews. There are branded and "unbranded" ones which are very good. They can actually keep your phone cool in high summer heat and charge at the same time.
@@LenonFPB If I don't find anything with a strong magnet I'm going to use the ram mount adhesive 1" ball mount and glue a magnet to it. I'll probably rubberize it with some kind of product.
I’m new to MagSafe car chargers “ERS” but I can’t use my Apple Car Play with it. Is that normal? Or is there a MagSafe car charger that I can use in my vehicle that will charge and be able to use Apple Car play? Can’t use Bluetooth for my Apple Car play
If you have wired CarPlay no wireless charger will work for that. What I do is I use a wireless CarPlay adapter and Qi2 mount just for charging. Hope that helps.
Buy a cheap Wireless Carplay Adapter. It is worth it, they became really cheap. Either buy a Carlinkit Adapter (i think they are anywhere between 40-70$) or buy a cheaper noname one with good reviews, they are are like 30-40$ now and usually work just fine.
@@Dom-si2pk thanks for the information, I’ll buy one today. One more thing… is there a MagSafe car mount that works the best? Bought the ERS vent mount but if there’s a better one I like to know. Thanks again for the reply
So if the mophie was #2, what was #1 for magnetic strength? My biggest requirement is what has the strongest strength. (Also, Where does the new ESR one rank in this list in magnet strength?)
It would be great if in the description for the products you listed the charge speed and force to remove the phone from the charger and maybe a system of one-to-five-dollar signs for how much price is compared to other items in the category but of course prices change so it's hard to base a rating on that. For some people they might be willing to live with a 30% charge in a half hour for the strongest grip on the phone because they know their neighborhood.
I appreciate seeing your input but I have yet to agree with any of your lists. I personally like esr cryboost chargers. Regardless I think all your opinions are interesting.
Your content is truly amazing. Spouse has a Tesla Model X ('all apologies"). Tried a vent mount but it does now work great. Do you think the iOttie surface mount is the way to go? re: Charging do really need the charging in the device, since you need to run a cable anyways can just plug USB C into phone and only downside if want to rotate to landscape? Any thoughts on the ESR products?
Great video! Will the Mophie mount work with a leather MagSafe case? Im looking to purchase a bandolier crossbody for the 16promax. I want a strap for ease since it is large. but i dont want to remove the case for mounting in my car or charging. If you have any better recomendations please let me know. Thank you!
Does anyone who uses Apple CarPlay use these wireless charging mounts? Because in my experience since I don’t have wireless CarPlay, I still have to plug a cable in, so these seem pointless and slow.
@@JakeCamo Correct. I have the iOttie vent mount currently (going to upgrade soon). It plugs into the lighter port, then have the USB port for the CarPlay that plugs into my phone.
I'm not sure i understand the idea of a magsafe car charger. They are all way overpriced, charging is not optimal, and technically not wireless. You can buy a decent reliable magsafe car mount at a reasonable price, and still use a charging cable, to get the same or better results. Can some please explain? I'm genuinely asking.

I like when you do top 10 instead of only 3 😢 either way great review love your videos!

Same, all their magnet stuff is so strong I can barely get their MagSafe wallet off their case 😂
I like there MagSafe stuff as well. Super strong
I use the ESR one for the car with built in charging. It works awesome

I'm looking just for the strongest magsafe, no need for wireless charging, any recommendations for that? Thank you!!
Same! Anyone have recommendations?
💯 charging can be solved with a separate cable. But since the Magbak case and magnet stick is way too expensive, I’m looking for alternatives.
@@LenonFPB If I don't find anything with a strong magnet I'm going to use the ram mount adhesive 1" ball mount and glue a magnet to it. I'll probably rubberize it with some kind of product.
Did you try the ESR cryocool wireless chargers, I'd love to see those!\
Have you tested the new ESR Qi2 car mount with Cryoboost?
I don't think he did. We just put up a video about it, seems to be pretty solid actually.
I have it, the older version and I love it. Can recommend it enough. Keeps my phone cool while charging too. And the magnet is pretty strong.
I hope you make a car phone holder video as well cuz some of us need the holder but not the wireless(way too much heat) charger
The anker one has a tendency for the suction cup part to fail unfortunately
Great content style and Monty is the best part 😂
What was the number on mount in terms of magnetic strength?
Thanks for the great review - I bought the ESR one that you mentioned briefly, but I didn't see a link for it in your description. Sorry homey
Where can I get just a cigarette adapter with the stand and ball joint?
Will #1 fit in an existing ball mount?
Would the Mophie charger beat out the iOttie Velos charger if the prices were identical?
will these work if you have a magsafe compatible case?
was looking at ESR cryocool car mount but curious if its compatible with iphone 16 pro max?
How about the Peak Designs new car mount?

Can you please recommend a car mount that isn’t a charger? (Just a holder)
Why do you always ignore the ESR cyroboost chargers?

Have you tested any of the Magbak products ?

does it work with iphone 16 pro max?

Dumb question I’m new to any MagSafe but how do these attach to the car
It's usually your typical vent/dash/windshield mounts. The MagSafe part is how it connects to your phone.
You should check out Baseus C02 Pro, but dont have official support qi2 charging tho
Surely if you use the vent mount, the airflow will cool it, no?
If you are using cool air it will cool the phone. If you are using heat it will heat up the phone.
Gonna assume mophie is the best vent mount (?) the dashboard mounts are too big
