I've blind-bought Rochas Man several years ago in a haul because it was ridiculously inexpensive and the cappucino note was advertised.
Sadly, I can smell cappucino for a very brief moment somewhere in the middle.
To me it smells like semi-sweet powdery lavender, with some citruses on top and some jasmine or something like that. It could be branded as Prada for sure.
Great video as always Ash! I was a big fan of the OG, never got my nose on the Intense version. When this one hits discounters I will check it out. 🤘

I want to try this compared to my 2009ish original (which has no performance issues at all). I agree the original has less of that coffee; it’s more lavender/vanilla scent with a coffee in the background thing.

This sounds like it's right up my alley. I haven't blind-bought the original yet, though it's been in my cart for forever, I'm just iffy on the sweetness with the coffee note being so subtle. I'm actually hyped for the intense version now.

I bought the original a few months back as a blind buy and like it quite a bit, so im gonna get the intense one as soon as it hits that $30-$35 mark
GC turned me on to Halloween man X which is my favorite casual/ movie night fragrance.. Definitely going to give this one a try as well.

Being a coffee lover, I bought the original because it was praised as a coffee scent, but I never actually get coffee from it. Although it became my favorite bedtime fragrance, I love it like nothing else.
Would be interesting to try the new version!
If you like coffee frags, I highly highly recommend Akro Awake. It's the most realistic nice coffee scent out.

I got the original also because of the coffee scent and was a little disappointed that the coffee wasn't that forward. Still a good scent. I haven't tried Akro Awake but I have Halloween Man X and that has a great coffee scent.
@@Sir_Scrumpalicious agree, for me Rochas Man is more raspberry scent. And it's absolutely fantastic. I like that being gourmand it doesn't really smeel too food-ish. It's synthetic-ness plays good here.

It actually confused me that there is only a sticker at the bottom of the bottle, because the Eau de Toilette has an imprinting there. Thanks for showing this detail!

As a coffee scent lover.. I've been interested in this one.. You mentioned that the original of the Rochas Man could be compared to Bond No. 9 New Harlaam. How does this compare and also I have heard that New Harlaam has been rereleased. can you do a review of that one. Thanks mate for heling me as I started my own renaissance in fragrance. Cheers

I wore the original Rochas Man throughout university and loved it (except it doesn’t perform well at all). I remember it being a vanilla scent, or so I thought. I had no idea there was coffee in there.

This was my first fragrance ever I love is but now it a basic fragrance for me. I love coffee smell and Akro Awake is 1 million time better than this.
