The special operations team rigged a lowering system to lower the worker harnessed in a halfback to a landing where the worker was then transferred to a stokes basket and lowered to the ground from there and then transported to the hospital to get checked out with non life threatening injuries.
This is RAW footage of the incident with much of the radio traffic included.

Fantastic high angle rescue JFD! Transfer at the 80 foot level extremely coordinated and smooth!!!
They train hard and often..it pays off when it matters.

Thank the Lord your department believes in Training! Well done JFRD!
We train hard and it shows daily!
Great rescue!
thanks
great rescue guys
Appreciate that and you watching!
What model and type of harness is the patient wearing? Thank you.
That is what we call a "half back"...maintains spinal immobilization and rated for lifting.
Was the units from Station 9 responding to?
no
Why not a stair chair?
Exactly!! But then you wouldn’t get to play lol . Looked absolutely stable. But a good excuse to use equipment .
Too much time and is not preferable to risk losing a patient trying to go down 200+ feet of winding narrow stairs! JFD rescued this guy textbook!
that is not how we do it...thanks
@user-ej9jq2zf1y thank you
Good but why so many people for only one injured ?
@larryaullay5957
This is a very tricky situation and very manpower intensive. This is our special operations team hard at work. Their training and the people working this ensure that no on else gets hurt and we rescue the one person injured.
@@thejfrd2490 Thanks !

you have too much time on your hands...she happens to be with the executives from the port accessing the situation...she is NOT in a safety sensitive area
