I’m so glad to see a charged line standing by. So many companies skip this…. Great hustle!
It is extremely important for all involved.

Wow, what a great job those firefighters did!❤

Strong Work!!! Glad to see another agency uses Hi Lift farm jacks, they will get you out of a mess quick and easy low tech.
I watched a recovery crew use a Hi Lift to raise the top of a car that had barrel rolled & was crunched down on top of the driver. These tools are a must for a lot of heavy recoveries.
Yes they do
no doubt they are
Thank you for the work you do. Please wear your eye protection!

Jacksonville doesn't fuck around....well done
That is a FACT Jack!
They hit that pool hard. Was there any talk about peeling the roof back / off for patient access? I feel like this move is often not done even though it can be accomplished fairly quickly.
We pull roofs most of the time...the dash was the issue here
SPEED KILLS!!!!
And how fast exactly was this car going???
75mph in a 45 or what dang ,
Is that fact? or speculation?

Good job all the way around, having a charged line minimizes the possibility of a ignition fire. Kudos to JVRD.

Great job you guys!! And yes in trauma we try to get aa 16g in. We need a line on both arms or an IO if we can't get a line!

What's the logistics behind recording these videos for TH-cam?
I assume theres a lot of rules and regulations you must follow, but what kind of camera's can withstand the heat of a fire? I have seen a few POV videos on this app and I've always wondered about it.
I just found this channel and it's amazing. The videos are as quality as the rescues. I wish you all the best.
We do not record within the fire...but get as close as possible to give you a new perspective.

nice, now I can watch my own rescue on youtube!
Jeepers! How friggen fast were they going? That car came off it's rear wheels & had to be almost standing on it's bumper when it hit to get a dent like it has in the front.
Glad no other cars were hit
@@thejfrd2490 No kidding! Absolutely sad for these 2, but almost a miracle, if nothing else remarkable that no other vehicles were hit.

From the UK, retired Ff, a very complicated extrication, would it have been easier to have removed the roof to give you more room and better access for the medics to monitor the casualties ?
I'm not knocking you guys , you did a great job but here in the UK, we are always looking at ways for better access to the casualty for when the medics need to step in to monitor before extraction onto the trolley.
I am not sure why they did not remove the roof...we normally do...good point
@@thejfrd2490 Thank you for replying, at the end of the day, you guys removed the casualties safely.
@@cornelfrancis7615 that is the bottom line!
How did the accident happen
the car hit the pole.
@@thejfrd2490
What caused the crash. The hitting the pole part is obvious. Did the steering malfunction
@@ruthanneluvsvacuuming6653 we are the fire department...we treat the injured and eliminate any hazards...the sheriff's office investigates the why...maybe you can reach out to them about that.
@@thejfrd2490
Thanks. Thought someone might know
Why is a fire tower ladder called?
What do you mean?
Scott, FYI, This is too typical with speed and loss of control. It took all of these resources to remove two trapped victems recently in Jacksonville. For these two occupants I don't have a lot of sympathy, but that young fourth grader in a "crosswalk", he was not expecting that. I really have little sypathy for the car operator. I can tell you though, Emergency Svcs. become emotionaly involved as soon as dispatch informs them there's s child involved. I will never forget being dispatched to a motor vehicle accident involving M 25 when an automobile struck an older model van with mom / dad and eight children. The other operator was under the influence of alcohol. We had to extracate all eight children. That was nearly ten years ago, yet it seems like yesterday.
That's why I suggested asking prayers for the first responders to the recent accident. Hopefully the County has Crisis Intervention for the police, rescue and ambulance personnel. They'll need it! Adults do cry😢
Roger
Do you know the posted speed on that stretch of road? How fast do you think that fool was traveling? I'm guessing 60 +
@ropinhorseman924 how do you even know what transpired here...I believe that you are making a bunch of assumptions that are not fair to those involved.
@@edstoma3653 Do you know what road that was at all?
@@thejfrd2490 No, but I suspect you do as well as the posted speed since your channel is, you know, "thejrfd2490" and all. My question was a reply to your description. Do you not wish to say?

OMG poor pt care. No ALS interventions while pts were in vehicle screaming. not a BP cuff vitals 02....nothing until in the back of the ambulance. (no on backing the other ambulance up) No one appears in charge just a group all doing their own thing. Not one white hat.
You are showing your ignorance...watch again...there are multiple chiefs there handling business...This extrication went extremely fast...you cannot do patient care without getting in the way, we would rather get them out fast and treat them, rather than do useless patient care and prolong the extrication...
But thanks for your input!

Poles don’t move!
Sometimes they do...but generally built stronger than cars
@@thejfrd2490 wasn’t trying to be a smart a**! I enjoy y’all’s page…
That's not a parking spot.........
No its not!
😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
agreed
Its very common the opposite since I had seen lots of cars destroying about everything even cutting big trees down as well wooden poles and big metal poles but very rare that the wooden pole had minimum damage while the car had huge damage
Not really understanding your comment...please clarify
I can't say what i wanted to say ...
Most don't hold back...why should you?
Wow they were moving fast when they hit that pole. That's no 35 mph hit thats 70 mph + easy.
Easily if not higher for it to wrap around the pole like that
sadly yes
♥️♥️♥️🌈👍🙏🙏
thanks
This black guy probably went to the insurance company for this accident, they are good at it, they provoke people and they themselves are to blame.
No need for ANY of this here
Way too many public service employees hanging out.
if that is what you think...we disagree
Car hits pole nothing happens to the pole winds at 70 miles per hour will knock that pole over
is that how you think it works?
a car hits the pole at the bottom....the pole is 20' in the ground!!!!
@@stephenswinton8143 that pole is NOT 20' in the ground
@@thejfrd2490 ok how much then???
@@stephenswinton8143 i would guess 4-5 feet
Kinda looks like a pretend driver to me. However, it's possible that the pole just decided to jump right out in front of them. The power companies may need to start using more discretion in what type of pole they put where. These wondering poles obviously cause problems.

@jimmccabe801 there are always some...bet they are amazing on paper

Usual suspects
not sure what that means
@@thejfrd2490 I'd suspect he's referring to the fact that the out of control, speeding motorist is a negro, and that he feels this is par for the course, so to speak.
Why do you feel that it is acceptable to post these videos......capturing the horrific pain and fear of the victim, and splashing it all over the internet? It serves no proven purpose other than your own personal glorification
Maybe because the reality of the danger of horrific injuries or death, from speeding. There is a reason for staying within the speed zone...
That is your interpretation...but for us, it is reality, I don't think most truly know the death and destruction that we see on a daily basis...
It also serves as a tool for other firefighters to learn.
If you weren't interested, Then you shouldn't watch...our channel is not for everyone!

Not sure what they were discussing...but please don't read too far into it
That only proof that the wood pole is 100 times stronger than metal. You can see how far the metal got crushed while the wood pole only has minor damage almost just minimum scratches. Maybe we should use wood to build cars?
Are these scientific facts?
I put 50 bucks on the pole to win that fight!
A bet after the outcome isn't really a bet...the pole won
