Great video, I've been doing this once a month at my local driving range as it has top tracer... trying to get my beginner handicap down
I use the clock method on my 60* wedge from different distances. Also pick a spot on the club to choke down. Gives me really 3 distances depending on lie and other conditions for feel/shorter shots. I do the same for my SW and GW. Beyond that I have 2 distances for all my regular irons up to a 7i. Beyond that for my 6-4 it’s just normal distance shots.
Thanks! Shanks aside. How much improvement do you think you have seen from having a launch monitor, as a percentage? Understanding that you already put the work in at home, hitting into a net in the back yard. I assume you would put in a least an hour a day at your level. Nice work!

Don't have a Trackman, but recently bought an Optishot 2, not as good as the Trackman, but better than nothing.
Hit 50 balls this morning with my new Srixon Z 785 9.5* Driver, Stiff Graphite shaft and it feels really good, need to regrip it with a jumbo though.
I live in Iowa, so have built a poor man's indoor simulator with a projector to get me through the Winter
months

30-90 at the practice range feels good (off a mat). They have targets in these ranges, so I practice them a lot. I need to a.) adapt it to the course and b.) work on my 95-130. When hitting these slightly longer shots, I often spin the ball up (rolls up the face, almost like a PW or 9I flop shot) at this distance and end up with 75% of the target's, or if I manage to get the distance, it's with a ridiculously wide dispersion.

Me personally on my SIM if I spend a lot of time hitting 50-80 yards shots(which is my nemesis) I hit that hozel shank because after a while I stop rotating and end up just throwing my hands at the ball. So frustrating and the only cure I have found is to take time away from it. So that yardage is still dreaded.
i just did a trackman combine. I'm a 6 handicap and I got an 83 and I want to see if I score higher than you before I watch. I'm a very good ball striker that does not have good short game so that explains my handicap haha

Great video. Question, how far are you from the screen. I keep hitting my 56° into the ceiling or over the net. Any advice. Thanks
He needs to be at least ten feet from the screen. I am guessing he is at about 12 feet. You will need to protect your ceiling somehow and would suggest either netting or ceiling padding (some have also built baffles). You will also need something to stop the ball from going behind your net between the gap from the top of the net and the ceiling. If you go to golf sim forum you should find some examples.
Club golfers don't need Trackman. Just by practising shots up to 100 yards will dramatically improve your score. Trouble is we all love seeing the ball smashed with driver. Generally we don't go to the Pro for our wedge game.
