I can't believe you rode through all that rain!!!! Your are the MAN for coming all the way here for the meetup! And thank you so much for the shout out and for the lesson in air flow management, made all the sense in the world! That sunset was just right, exactly why we ride!
No need for 360 camera (don’t like them), we can see you in the mirror on the windscreen. Sorry but i don’t see the point in portrait mode going backwards as a viewer. I just want to see what you see, part of the bike and the road up ahead. Besides that i really enjoy your roadtrip videos. Very relaxing to watch.
You've certainly proven the REBEL 1100 as a long distance road warrior, if you have the iron butt to overcome all the sitting time. Great video with showing by example!
Great video mate. As for held gloves if it's goretex then yes it has a lifetime guarentee no question. Worth contacting either your dealer and held direct as repair or replacement should no be an issue.
** Supposedly there's a helmet lock under the seat of the rebel 1100. The seat already requires a key so that seat is a locking helm holder. I've only seen one rebel owner confirm this though, maybe test it and show us? **
Catching up on the backlog. You mentioned your coffee spilling in your helmet. Another channel I follow, Notiers Frontiers, had a recent episode talking about a ride through some central American country. Anyway, she put her helmet on the ground at a border crossing and a dog pissed in it. No place to clean it either. So yeah, worse things than coffee.
🤣🤮 That's awful! I've been in the rain for days at a time, and my helmet ended up smelling like a dirty sneaker, so that's not great. Dog piss would definitely be worse! 😉👍 --QM
I’m thinking of getting a new cruiser/touring bike after 10 or so years taking a break from riding and selling my triumph bonneville and after watching you tubers with Harley Davidson heritage I just can’t justify paying over 20,000 for a Harley! I now have been watching on you tube of Honda Rebels 1100 and I’m looking towards a Honda Rebel 1100 T with a manual transmission and after watching your you tube channel I’m pretty convinced about purchasing one but would appreciate your thoughts and suggestions about any problems in the past such as front tire wobble and how did you remedy that ! I do enjoy your videos and find them informative and encouraging. Thank you 🙏🏻
The screen that I have is the Daytona Blast Barrier: japan.webike.net/products/24739061.html . It's a direct bolt-on fitment with custom brackets to fit the Rebel 1100. I've toured about 6K miles behind it so far, and it works very well for reducing chest pressure. It doesn't provide much protection for my helmet or shoulders (I'm 5'7" or 170cm tall), but it still fits the aesthetics of the bike. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
Hi I came across you're video and I was watching and u have a center dome rear view mirror where did u get from would like one for my future to be rebel 1100 cdt. Thanks like trip scenery.
The mirror on the center of the screen is the RiderScan Blindspot mirror: amzn.to/3nJjXLp . If you're interested, you can watch my install and review video on the RiderScan mirror on my Ryker here: th-cam.com/video/gNQ-TtpdmeM/w-d-xo.html . You will need a windscreen with a short vertical mounting surface to mount the RiderScan mirror. Thanks for the feedback! I have the Samsung Galaxy S10+, so it's a medium-sized screen... not giant. Yes, the Super Cub's leg shield does help to deflect most of the road debris and rain from my legs. However, I need to keep my knees tucked in because the shield is fairly narrow. 😉👍 --QM
Hi mate just a quick comment on your held gloves and the rain seeping through them. I noticed on a re run of your vid that your gloves are over the top of your waterproof jacket and not under which can cause the rain to run down inside the glove. But if you put the glove under the waterproof jacket then in theory the rain should just run off and not be able to enter the glove. Apologies to you if you all ready no this trick but it's just something I noticed on your video and think maybe it could be the solution to the problem.
Thanks for the suggestion, Martin! I typically ride with the gloves' gauntlets outside of the rain shell so water doesn't get forced under the rain jacket and run up my arm from the inside. The HELD gloves have a wrist closure that helps to seal them, but I'll try stuffing the gauntlets into my jacket next time to see how that works. I've noticed that this second pair of Air-n-Dry gloves tends to saturate my fingertips first and then I'll start feeling more moisture across the rest of my hands. So, I'm wondering if the stitching or internal liner isn't damaged and causing pinhole leaks. I'll contact HELD to see if they have any suggestions or remediation under warranty. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
I've never liked leather riding chaps, but I might shop around for some modern textile (high-tech) equivalents. The Rebel 1100 doesn't offer ANY forward protection, so the rider's legs take a beating from wind and road debris. Cheers! 😉👍 --QM
I bought a waterproof BILT suit, boot covers, and gloves. Hopefully they keep me dry, if so ill love riding in the rain. It would be cool for those youtube divers to go record that ghost town 🧐
at least your not riding alone to TN . i know your a good rider but keep 2 hands on the handlebars . i dont understand why they limit that moto to 100 mph . is the manual version the same . i got cougth in rain storm on my vulcan s 650 2018 not fun ihad to get hotel room dangerus . not wort it . glad you got home .

Arkansas has amazing riding! Used to be stationed there, and now I go back every year to ride. Totally worth it
Love that curved rearview mirror on the flyscreen. Never seen one of those and it looks like it's great for situational awareness.
I was thinking the same thing, provides a great rear field of view.
You're a good mate to stop for that biker on the side of that 4 lane. Kudos and karma is with you! Thx for sharing.

We "enjoyed" the rain riding it was not that bad and we may have been going near the recommended speed limit.
