I just started investing in pokemon for three reasons
1. I found some fun in opening packs
2. The english boxes in Mexico go down really fast, got two crown zenith etbs for $30 each one at my local store
3. I have some spare money that I wanted to invest but I'm not interested in stock or those kind of investments
I also found obsidian flames at $28 but I just think the best pulls arent worth, the only issue is you dont find many stores that have pokemon tcg here

dude i am a pokemon lover since i was a little kid. I just recently got into TGC and have a lot of money to spend with no clue where to put it. I want to mix up sealed long term and know the best boxes to crack and get pulls myself. youve been such a library of information for me man thank you

I think one thing nobody considers is inflation of the US dollar. I think collectables stand a chance of fighting off inflation similar to gold.

There's also a massive downside: the dollar crashing, a depression, stagflation, etc. Unless you have plenty of money to stay the course, you'll see every form of traditional and physical investing go away down while gold and silver go way up.
Maybe we need a video going over 1000$+ booster boxes sales, or high value card sales and the frequency of those ? I agree tho I can talk cards all day this was a great video 📈

You want to invest in Pokémon ? “ patience is key “ it’s an investment that takes years to really appreciate in a serious way for most products, but you gotta be smart in what set & product to invest in , and obviously booster box’s are best but learn which box’s in particular will do best and that comes down to the cards in the set , which ever you choose get in early, pay a hundred or less for each booster box and youl be sitting good in my opinion no matter what set you choose , God Bless

You probably said this too but it can’t be overlooked how much of these products are opened on live streams or box breaks.

I see pokemon investing as babies first investment, is it the best investment out there? No of course not, but its one of the safests ones you can do and (depending on the product) youll almost never really loose much money

Steam Siege was my first set that got me into collecting and investing. I missed out on a huge opportunity in college, but I didn’t have much money to begin with. At the time, a sealed 1st edition Fossil booster box was going for $700. I didn’t have the money so I passed on it. Oh boy, I’ll just let you look at prices now.
However, I did happen to grab 10 of those booster packs for only $10 each. The seller threw in an extra one for free! I opened all of them, I really wanted to pull my own Zapdos holo, and luckily I did! Kinda wish I kept one sealed, but that’s the fun of collecting. You collect what you want and you chase the cards you really want.
P.S. I think a lot of the reprint and value issues could be leveled by bringing back 1st editions. I believe it would be the best way to bring investing opportunities and leave unlimited for the average collector or player.

Grab a sword and shield alt art set with trainer gallery. Maybe a brilliant stars or lost origin before they get too pricey 👌

I wish he wouldn’t use Evo Skies as an example of heavily printed sets 😬 because it implies overprinting began in Sw/Sh.
In truth XY Evolutions & Roaring Skies were printed in FAR greater numbers than *anything* in Sw/Sh.
I feel like people just think that since they weren’t collecting in XY/SM it means no one else was either.
In truth Sw/Sh wasn’t that much more printed than many XY & SM set.
Evo Skies got 2 reprints.
Roaring Skies got 4.
Evolutions got 5.

I guess I was referring to the fact that it wasn't a short printed set that has driven its price up so quickly like a set like Team Up.
@@pokeoz91 I wasn’t hating on you I swear I was just saying a lot of newcomers get misled into thinking reprints today are exponentially higher then in the past when in truth sets like Roaring Skies & Evolutions were more reprinted than even alot of modern heavily printed sets ya know?

Hi @PokeOz I’ve found your channel recently and I’m interested in investing in Pokemon as a hobby but I need some advice. I’m thinking of buying 2 case of evo skies totalling 9500 USD as my first long term buy but in your opinion, is there enough meat on the bone for 5-10 years or am I better putting my money into modern cost price cases?

So hard to say as there's just not much demand for DBZ Score sealed. But probably about the same as a cosmic eclipse booster box!
