I am amazed at how fast axial turning is versus linear turning when removing a large amount of stock. Please tell me how long a single axial cut in this video takes. It's difficult to tell from how fast the video is sped up. Also, what is the depth of the cut? Thanks. Love your work.
If i understand correctly, this tool is made for clean metal finish, isn't it ? Anyway, great job ! Self handmade creations are so cool, even with the use of tools !
How long do you think those springs are going to last. There should be a brass or better yet a bronze (cup) for the ball to ride in then the spring up against the cup. You got it half right.
*Good idea, maybe the springs will wear a bit early with the ball bearing spinning against them so adding a washer between the spring and ball bearing maybe help it last much longer?...*
Good idea but if I put a little extra time into machining a really nice finish in the first place, it would amount to less time than building a tool to improve the finish 😂
Why didn't you use grub screws as a method of backing up the springs & ball bearings? Glad to see you you gave some protection from damage in your vyce.

¡Gracias amigo y bienvenido!
This is already a thing. It's - not only been patented - but patented so long ago that the patent is now expired.
🙂😆😄

Thank you and welcome!
Beautifully done, love your videos some very inspiring all very interesting.
Thank you very much and welcome👍🤝🙏
Cool idea my friend❤❤❤
Thank you very much bro🙂
Why didn't you just make the body thick enough to use standard set screws instead of wasting time making them?
Welcome!
Good work😊
Thank you so much!
I like that idea. I do similar to stuff on the lathe.
Thank you very much and welcome🙂
SUPER. !!!!!!!!!!
Thanks, bro😉
Cool Idea!!!!!!
Thanks😉
Just copied all the others on TH-cam. Patent someone else's Idea 😮 no, post original stuff please.
@@marley589 The idea is not mine, but the development and refinement of the design is mine! Welcome!
Great idea. If I make one, I’ll use in my lathe, I don’t have a mill yet.
👍👍👍

Very nice but didn't the beatrings get cooked along the way there?

Time will tell, we may have to refine it or leave it as it is! Welcome!
I always enjoy your videos , even the ones where you improve on someone else’s design .👍 !
Yes this is not my idea, but I made the design my own, simpler! Thanks my friend!
Thank you very much, my friend🙂

That was the idea, my friend! Welcome!
Blue chips means proper cutting speed. The chips are taking heat away from the work.
Excellent job.
Thank you very much my friend and welcome!
Blue chips means you dont use refrigerant 😂 and is bad 🤦
Cela me rappelle mon métier de tourneur 😊
Thank you very much and welcome👍

Thank you my friend! Welcome!
It's cool
Thank you😉
Maybe a genius idea the first several times I saw it on TH-cam…
More simple to use sandpaper🙂
Thank you very much for watching and welcome my friend😉
👍👍👍👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you so much🙏
Anyway, you don't need to tighten all three lathe screws... Just tighten one of them.
Dann patentiere sie doch! Mach!
Thank you very much and welcome!
Unfortunately, once you show something to the world, you can't patent it...
Why not? Isn’t this proof that it’s his idea?
@@ScottJenkinsStoryteller Just how it is & he could have nicked this idea from someone else!
Too late, you missed the boat.
Welcome!
Toll und was ist an 99% Zerspanung jetzt so interessant?

Why don’t you patent this? Brilliant idea!
Thank you very much and welcome🙂
Thank you my friend and welcome🙏
Well, it gave you something to do......

Burnishing tools were patented a long time ago .
Hai inventato l'acqua calda e hai sprecato un blocco d ' acciaio.....
welcome.....
It's a burnishing tool and they've been patented and around for a very long time.
