I just wanted to say that I have been so grateful to have gotten the chance to discover your music some time ago. I've been weening in and out of depression for almost a third of my life (I'm 21 now) and have pushed so many wonderful people away, as I've had this poor mindset that my presence in another's life is unneeded. It's become more and more difficult for me to socialize nowadays due to feeling like I'll just bring a negative, "energy”, for lack of better words, into other's lives. And this has kinda stopped me from truly experiencing fulfilling happiness, whether from interaction or through prior loved hobbies. Fortunately, I met the most wonderful guy at my past job last year and experienced genuine platonic love for another for what seems to be the first time. He's the first person I've come across that just exuded the gentlest warmth and sincere kindness. And nowadays, if I'm ever feeling down in the dumps, the literal mere thought of him - his gentle and warm nature - makes me feel okay, even if it's momentary. He has openly expressed himself to be a beautiful individual, and we'll always have each other's backs. He's one of the very few that I feel truly love me despite the constant struggle with normalcy I deal with. This song kind of just serves as another reminder of him, which is nice! @@roland_faunte I appreciate this greatly, actually I got diagnosed with a chronic condition that messes up my appearance , the medications I take mess up my brain as well ,bad memory so I’m failing med school too,(which was the only thing I’m good at) ,I look at my friends and people my age ,everyone seems to be doing well in college ,careers ,partners, while here I am taking antidepressants and 4 different medications to barely function. I don’t have energy left to try I let the days pass by , I would want to experience the beautiful side of life like happiness or love or even some days without panicking . Thanks Roland for letting me open up I appreciate it too much :)
@@haneenmohamed2019 Hey. Let me try to get into this one piece at a time. The appearance issue isn’t something I know about unless it’s weight gain or Tardive dyskinesia but the memory issue is something I'm very familiar with. I had brain fog as a medication side effect that affected both my short term and long term memory. I would stop in the middle of sentences regularly and have no idea where to start. I left stoves and ovens on forgetting I was setting up to cook something, forget I was on the phone with someone and just start doing something else, and even sometimes forget how to drive home even from short distances away. All of these things went away when I found the right medicines. I don't know if you're taking antipsychotics but those are what did it to me but when I tried my 4th one, Seroquel (after zyprexa, risperdal, and Latuda), I was able to get the positive effects while significantly limiting the negative ones. It sounds like you’ve tried a lot of medicines so far and I’m not sure what the time period is but I probably took between 8 or 9 before finding the ones that worked. It’s very unlikely that there isn’t a med combo out there that will be more tolerable than the one you currently have. I know it sucks to just keep trying but it really is our best option. In terms of you being on 4, I’m on 7. But my life is good and that’s what matters. I also used to absolutely hate that I had to carry a giant bag of pills around everywhere I went but once they started really working and I was getting my life back I couldn’t have cared any less and at this point I worship them. It’s important to remember that the brain is infinitely more complex than the rest of our organs so treating it is also much more complex. It’s trial and error and pure pain in the meantime as you know but that’s our reality and we have to face it with bravery. I also 100% get the issue of comparison with your peers. I used to feel like I was walking hand in hand with all my friends towards this bright beautiful future and then someone came and tapped me on the shoulder and said “you don’t belong here” then led me to a dark room full of miserable people and I was stuck there as I watched my friends get further and further away. Try to remember that you don’t know everything about them and the perfect nature of their lives that you project onto them is almost definitely not true. And even if it was it wouldn’t matter because your story isn’t over yet. Also, getting into medical school is an unbelievable accomplishment that most people would envy, maybe some other miserable person who couldn’t get accepted is looking at your life thinking “man he’s got it all figured out.” In terms of medical school I know you can take a leave of absence and that seems like something you should really consider. I failed out of college my sophomore year and thought it was going to ruin my life. I took the time to focus on my health, got myself in order, and came back to finish on time by overloading credits. I know med school is a lonely and brutal place so if you feel like you can’t handle it right now that’s probably because you can’t handle it right now. There is NO shame in that. If someone is running a marathon and breaks their ankle, everyone would tell them to stop running. Other people might not be able to see your injury right now but you and I both know it’s there. Take some time to heal up and then get back into the race. You can do this.
As much as I appreciate and literally love his music it's not for everyone , and I know the listeners know what I mean his music is deep and pertains to life in different ways an normal person wouldn't understand ,I'm so thankful for finding Roland 6 years ago and I hope he continues to make music and helps us break free as well ❤️🩹

I think things like soulmates are brought into existence through belief. For example, if I thought there was a monster hiding behind a door and ran the opposite direction, whether or not the monster was there may never be known, but the IDEA of the monster DID exist and made me run away. The idea created an action, created a change in the world, and therefore “existed” in a certain sense. Can anyone ever tell you with certainty whether or not a soulmate exists for you? No. But will you act differently if you believe there is such a thing? Probably. Same with the invisible strings and all that. Though you might say some things are more provable than others, for the most part the ideas that sustain us are based on a certain degree of belief. Take this music video for example: putting all of this together was incredibly difficult and very expensive. The only reason I spent the time and resources is because I held a high degree of belief that in the end there would be something very special created. The power of belief has been especially clear to me as someone who has a bipolar disorder. In depressive episodes, I’ve existed without a single scrap of hope and thought the best path was the big goodbye. In hypomania I’ve felt messianic, as if the universe was contained entirely inside me. Now with medicines I have a normal range but can still see how our unprovable beliefs eventually become our reality. In short, if soulmates exist for you, then soulmates exist.

I could not stop crying of this song. It speaks for me of my previous relationship. My ex was my home, she was perfect and I regret letting her go but I just had to save her from me. I could never repay the way she loved me still despite everything, despite me dragging her down my void. I hope she's doing better now like how I imagined it to be without me.

@@roland_faunte I appreciate this greatly, actually I got diagnosed with a chronic condition that messes up my appearance , the medications I take mess up my brain as well ,bad memory so I’m failing med school too,(which was the only thing I’m good at) ,I look at my friends and people my age ,everyone seems to be doing well in college ,careers ,partners, while here I am taking antidepressants and 4 different medications to barely function. I don’t have energy left to try I let the days pass by , I would want to experience the beautiful side of life like happiness or love or even some days without panicking . Thanks Roland for letting me open up I appreciate it too much :)
@@haneenmohamed2019 Hey. Let me try to get into this one piece at a time. The appearance issue isn’t something I know about unless it’s weight gain or Tardive dyskinesia but the memory issue is something I'm very familiar with. I had brain fog as a medication side effect that affected both my short term and long term memory. I would stop in the middle of sentences regularly and have no idea where to start. I left stoves and ovens on forgetting I was setting up to cook something, forget I was on the phone with someone and just start doing something else, and even sometimes forget how to drive home even from short distances away. All of these things went away when I found the right medicines. I don't know if you're taking antipsychotics but those are what did it to me but when I tried my 4th one, Seroquel (after zyprexa, risperdal, and Latuda), I was able to get the positive effects while significantly limiting the negative ones. It sounds like you’ve tried a lot of medicines so far and I’m not sure what the time period is but I probably took between 8 or 9 before finding the ones that worked. It’s very unlikely that there isn’t a med combo out there that will be more tolerable than the one you currently have. I know it sucks to just keep trying but it really is our best option. In terms of you being on 4, I’m on 7. But my life is good and that’s what matters. I also used to absolutely hate that I had to carry a giant bag of pills around everywhere I went but once they started really working and I was getting my life back I couldn’t have cared any less and at this point I worship them. It’s important to remember that the brain is infinitely more complex than the rest of our organs so treating it is also much more complex. It’s trial and error and pure pain in the meantime as you know but that’s our reality and we have to face it with bravery. I also 100% get the issue of comparison with your peers. I used to feel like I was walking hand in hand with all my friends towards this bright beautiful future and then someone came and tapped me on the shoulder and said “you don’t belong here” then led me to a dark room full of miserable people and I was stuck there as I watched my friends get further and further away. Try to remember that you don’t know everything about them and the perfect nature of their lives that you project onto them is almost definitely not true. And even if it was it wouldn’t matter because your story isn’t over yet. Also, getting into medical school is an unbelievable accomplishment that most people would envy, maybe some other miserable person who couldn’t get accepted is looking at your life thinking “man he’s got it all figured out.” In terms of medical school I know you can take a leave of absence and that seems like something you should really consider. I failed out of college my sophomore year and thought it was going to ruin my life. I took the time to focus on my health, got myself in order, and came back to finish on time by overloading credits. I know med school is a lonely and brutal place so if you feel like you can’t handle it right now that’s probably because you can’t handle it right now. There is NO shame in that. If someone is running a marathon and breaks their ankle, everyone would tell them to stop running. Other people might not be able to see your injury right now but you and I both know it’s there. Take some time to heal up and then get back into the race. You can do this.
As much as I appreciate and literally love his music it's not for everyone , and I know the listeners know what I mean his music is deep and pertains to life in different ways an normal person wouldn't understand ,I'm so thankful for finding Roland 6 years ago and I hope he continues to make music and helps us break free as well ❤️🩹

I think things like soulmates are brought into existence through belief. For example, if I thought there was a monster hiding behind a door and ran the opposite direction, whether or not the monster was there may never be known, but the IDEA of the monster DID exist and made me run away. The idea created an action, created a change in the world, and therefore “existed” in a certain sense. Can anyone ever tell you with certainty whether or not a soulmate exists for you? No. But will you act differently if you believe there is such a thing? Probably. Same with the invisible strings and all that.
Though you might say some things are more provable than others, for the most part the ideas that sustain us are based on a certain degree of belief. Take this music video for example: putting all of this together was incredibly difficult and very expensive. The only reason I spent the time and resources is because I held a high degree of belief that in the end there would be something very special created.
The power of belief has been especially clear to me as someone who has a bipolar disorder. In depressive episodes, I’ve existed without a single scrap of hope and thought the best path was the big goodbye. In hypomania I’ve felt messianic, as if the universe was contained entirely inside me. Now with medicines I have a normal range but can still see how our unprovable beliefs eventually become our reality.
In short, if soulmates exist for you, then soulmates exist.

Belief is a good thing. I believe you did not take the "big exit" cause your music/art was meant to be the invisible string tying some of us to life.
