That's essentially my plan. But it's not without its negatives. You have to consider leaving your friends and family, loneliness in a different country, culture shock, higher noise levels then you're used to, visa and stay restrictions, safety, being charged more just because you're white and locals think you are made of money, feeling like you're an outsider, corruption, witnessing extreme poverty, and much more. These are the reasons why I would not move to a lower cost of living country long term. Maybe working 6 months in US and 6 months traveling out of the year.
This is exactly what I've been thinking I want to do. I have been doing a digital marketing course for just a year now and I'll be applying for jobs soon. Then by summer I hope to either live in either costa rica, spain, colombia, portugal while working remotely. Location independent work opens up the world to you.
