Mine is in a 12X12X15 hes 15 grams. Im gonna put him in his 18X18X24 when hes a little over 20grams. Love the video. Just what I was looking for.

Great video Nick. I was hoping in the beginning that you would use age as an indication of when they should be moved but, I think weight is a better measure. Well done!
Thank you! I think there is a relationship is breeders find for our geckos when to comes to weight and age but sadly it’s not case for everyone depending on where your gecko was bought! I probably should still mentioned “normal” age guidelines as well!

Watching this while mixing Pangea :D That is what I've been told mine is in a Faunarium now, but already bought a 16x16x24 to set up as bioactive. Every month buying something for it so by the time they are big enough, I'm ready.

hey idk if your gonna see this since the video is kind of old, but i need some tips. i got this baby that was born in NOVEMBER LAST YEAR AND HES LEGIT 3 GRAMS. (about 4 months old) he is refusing bugs and will not eat by himself no matter how hard i try or where i put the food bowl. any tips?

Nice video! I got a question... Im looking to get a juvenile crested gecko. Would an the 12x12x18 be too big for a juvenile? I don't wanna do those tubs... they are so ugly. Im pretty new and any advise would be appreciated.
OK just got a juvenile. She's 4 grams. I have her in a tub on paper towel. Now when I move her out to a tank or her permanent home when she gets to 20 grams. Could you let me know what substrate I should use. I live in Canada and cannot find certain substrate. Please advice.
You can move it at 10 grams and be fine! I would use a mix of spagg moss, leaf litter, and nature soil at Home Depot or Lowe’s that have no fertilizers!

How do you heat the small tubs for the hatchlings. and what does humidity/temp look like for them
I keep my room at 75 so they just get ambient temps. I don’t measure humidity. I just make sure I mist enough to spike humidity and then dry out!

Is it's stressful for them if I switch fr small to big and big to small? I let him eat in his small one as them switch him to his big ones to explore at night
Do not do that. Teaching them to eat in another box is not a good idea. These guys do better with consistency!

Personally I would say no. I believe bigger is better and 20s are a little too small! 30 gallon minimum!
I have my two in a 18by 18 by 24 and they are 5 and 7 grams should i down size and if so what do you recommend
I would separate them soon! Personally I would raise the up in a 6 quart and then a 15!

Hello, I came to ask you this since you seem to know a lot about crested geckos. I have wanted one but I’m not sure if this tank is ideal for it. It is about 25-30 gallons and is about 22 inches tall, 24 inches long, and 12 inches wide. Would this size or shape we OK to house 1 or 2 crested geckos?
Just 1 crestie, never cohab! But yes that tank is fine for a juvenile!
