I use a small layer pine pellet cat litter on the bottomand i use soft aspen on top. Ive been breeding them for a while and pure paper bedding like carefreeh is by far the best option, but super expensive. In my experience using pine and cedar shavings(kiln dried and organinc) as well as hemp and other beddings, ive noticed that using them can cause hair loss and stuff in the babies as they grow. I also find the large breeder bins from reptile basics is the perfect size and you get a 2 pack for $90 with the clamping lids. I use 4 of those and i can feed 10 snakes all year round. For diet, do not forget about meal worms and dubia riaches here and there especially for rhe oregnant females, if you sprinkle the freeze dried ines around the cage they get to farge a bit kike in the wild.

I've been doing it for a few years now to feed my own snakes and it's super easy but I really would like to find some fresh males for my gene pool. Once you get a good diet and environment, nature takes course FAST!!! LOL.

I just got my first crested gecko and I now realize she is small for her age. She is 2 years old and looks like your 26 gram gecko! Will she still grow after 2?

I’ve had my gecko for around 3 years now he’s roughly 6 years old and I’ve only held him like 5 times. Whenever I want to go towards him he runs of and if I try to hold him I’m scared if he’ll bite or drop his tail etc. Do you have any confidence tips for me so I can get to handling him ? I feel quite nervous because of the past. My gargoyle used to be quite good at handling but I went on holiday and he became skittish and he bit me so I’m also a lil nervous to handle again

What happens if house humidity is higher than 50%

I bought my son a crested gecko from petsmart , the associate told me it was a male but we wanted to buy another just to find out when their juveniles, it’s hard to tell it’s sex. Smh. How do I go about buying another? Would like a divider but hard to find for a 30 gallon tank. Please help

After keeeping snakes for about 10 years I got 3 crested geckos at an expo last week... the breeder (who I'd known and worked with before with cornsnakes) told me it's inhumane to separate them and that I have to have a group of at least 2 females and 1 male so that's what I bought from him, because I wouldn't want to raise social animals separately... now I have to get two new enclosures I guess. Sometimes I really hate this hobby.

I showed up to my room about 3 weeks ago to see my cresties dropped tail, he will not let me get anywhere near him not to feed off finger, nothing. I’m not sure what to do.. is it just a time thing?

I have a heat lamp because my room is cold. His temperature in the tank is 71-73 degrees which my room itself is 68-69 degrees. It’s connected to a thermostat and if the tank gets above 73 it turns off and if it get below 73 it turns on. Is that okay?
