I agree, it's funny how the thought process ages over decades. I think they're in the wise, "work smarter, not harder" stage, especially seeing all the work they put into the 93 aquarium. Hopefully, this changes the game, and we can start seeing some trippy flying art at some outdoor festivals!
Absolutely insane stage production, easily some of the best ive seen. But I'm equally impressed with how poor they sound. That's not even close to a >seque and to hear sand played so thinly, weak n phoned in makes my heart cry as that was one of my fave songs back when they had bite and risk in their approach to music.
It's been a long time since I have seen a phish comment section unanimously approve of something. The entire production team deserves big props here for the wonderful execution. It was a truly unforgettable experience.
These drones are unbelievable, the possibilities are exciting- imagine an "aquarium" or museum or maybe art show with an exhibit like this, in a giant massive hall with all different types of fish drones big and small just "swimming" in the air, maybe even multi level so as you go further down some staircases (maybe spiral) you see creatures that only inhabit deeper depths until you get to the bottom where its pitch black or nearly so except for the lights of bioluminescent deep sea fish and creatures floating about. Or maybe something like an exhibit of the solar system using drones disguised as planets/moons that can actually orbit around each other on steady paths, or even have some representing the various spacecraft we have in orbit of other worlds now. The best thing is no wires necessary and each drone has collision avoidance which might actually make for a really dynamic but controlled drone representation of our solar system.

I knew I wasn’t the only one who felt this way. The last two and a half minutes make me feel like I’m walking out of a tunnel and into the most epic battle of my life that which I will win gloriously.
We went to Coventry and had a huge painted sign that we flew from a 10 foot pole. And the sign said, "So long and thanks for all the Phish". Thanks for helping me remember that.
This has to be my favorite gag they've done. Phish have always had a way of bringing a sense of wonderment to those listening to/watching them perform. This is absolutely no exception. Not only that, they were able to make this set stand on its own legs musically and sound less of the rehearsed session that naturally must come with the usual spectacle (with performers) they have been putting on with special shows like this. It was cohesive and flowed beautifully! Incredible how just when you think they've done it all, they just keep upping the ante. Go Phish.
Being a Phishhead and working in concert production myself this is easily one of the most mindblowing things I've ever seen in the industry lol drone techs are like one in a million out there on tours even of Phish's scale. Fucking incredible!!!!

Don't let the dolphins, the whale, the absolute wizardry of CK5, the jams that can heal the sick and raise the dead and all the rest distract you from this overriding truth: Jon Fishman is the best drummer holding sticks. Just plain effing period. Throughout this whole stretch of wonder, he's just solid as a rock. I'm a guitar player and I love me some wheedly wheedly, but honestly I could just mute everyone else and listen to this cat for half an hour.
I feel this just about every time I listen to them. Fishman got all the sauce. Lol, the other three can be screwing around basically doing fuck all, but that groove NEVER dies. He keeps every jam alive. Also a guitar player who loves all the wheedly, and can testify, the man is insane.
Drummer of 35 years and John is in my top 5. Not the best but he is definitely Top Tier. I put Larnell Lewis, Carter Beauford, John Bonham, and Neil Peart above Fishman.
@@jonn443 I think if you get into terms of technical proficiency, guys like Larnell and Peart definitely beat him, but Fishman can certainly hold his own with 99% of other drummers in a song. But he isn't so much about flashy chops as he is about holding down a rock solid foundation that the rest of the band can float above during a jam. In that condition, I think Fishman probably is the "best drummer holding sticks" today in the jam scene overall.
