As soon as you say "thanks to Soundcore for sponsoring this video" the cat is out of the bag. We now know this isn't a "painfully honest" review, but rathter a video where you are told what to say and not say, what to focus on and not focus on. I know how this works and I refuse to adhere to these requirements that are placed on reviewers/influencers by Soundocre and their affiliate team.
If this is what you think happens then you’re incredibly naive. Soundcore has no input in what I say in the video. They don’t see the video before I post it. I take it out of the box, use it and give you my initial impressions. It’s not a review. That would take me at least 2 weeks living with the device and I would go into a lot more detail about the device. The idea that a creator can’t work with a brand and maintain credibility is insulting and you clearly don’t know as much as you think if you do if you don’t know that.
@@thejasontlewisexcept some of us have seen the scripts they send and those that follow it to the letter. For sure you went with the script guide for the x600. Not sure if you got one for the boom 2 but we do know the same shills are getting the early releases and i assume you still have to agree what the collaboration will be. Its a bit silly given your soundcore track record to accuse people of not knowing what they are talking about when enthusiasts like jay know more than you.

I didn't experience any distortion, but I thihnk it would depend on what kind of music you're listening to. I haven't heard the JBL, but this is a really great quality speaker.
I have one for work. Im s night custodian for a public school. Does wonder when i turn it on after faculty and kids head home. Even on low it's powerful. I wouldn't go so far as to say its a premium like a 200 plus dollar speaker or headphones would. Sound core knows whar they are doing. I probably should have waited a bit for price but i was in need of a work speaker for music and podcasts because my raycon every day speakrr died afrer only 4 months.
I purchased one & while it does offer good features & performs well, for sound quality alone, you can get a better speaker for the full retail price of $129.99 that they charge. You’re paying for the EQ features & lights. The biggest drawback of this speaker is midrange performance outdoors. The single racetrack driver in the middle of the speaker accounts for the mids & bass. As opposed to a typical 2 driver, 2 teeeter setup. You’re basically getting cheated out of better midrange separation & detail.😊
Great sound clip you did there with the rock song. I just got my two boom 2s im currently comparing them to the plus and the motion boom. Still dialing in the eq settings but so far its a deeper bass. It almost competes with the plus but the plus goes louder. I will probably be returning my 2 regular motion booms and keeping two of the boom 2s and 2 pluses. I seen another guy do a review and showed that it was party cast 2.0 and he showed that it would pair with the plus but i havent tried it yet. Care to share your eq settings? its coming in good on my logitech computer speakers and i clearly heard the bass up vs off. Good video sir.
At normal volumes the motion plus is better than the boom 2 by a nose. I suppose they'll be releasing a Boom 2 PLUS at some point in the future. @@helixgaming9058
@@helixgaming9058 Motion plus is a hifi style speaker for a balanced sound. It is still one of the best speakers in that price range if you want a quality speaker. And it has an aux input for zero lag. The boom 2 is for people wanting that bass thump, caring less about monitoring a sound source or listening to jazz. The boom 2 also has too much lag for gaming and has no aux input. For gaming i would go for the motion boom plus, use the aux and eq a bit. You know there are channels out there that do full audio analysis & lag measuring on all these speakers.
@@trgoku1951 yes, maybe but it depends what do you want. As for me in Italy, Tribit costs at least 80$ more, it is bigger and its weight is 5,5 kg against 1,6 kg. I bought 2 Boom2, as for me, the sound is good and the power is enough, I use them during the summer outside to listen to music and inside home to watch movies. Taking 2 Tribit, I should have spend in total, 160$ more, to have probably more power which I dont need.

Bringing the boom!
This is called BOOM 2 SE at WALMART and it has 30 watts..I wish Walmart would stop bringing in watered down versions of speakers.
There are 3 models:
Boom 2 Se with 30W
Boom 2 with 80W
Boom 2 plus with 140W
Most amazing compact speaker
