Oh my, I finally found you on the internet!
You don't know me but you have been someone I've listen to with great interest and I've found myself astounded by the way you think and your way of making yourself understood.
I'm glad to have found you again after years of missing you on Axp. Glad you're still out there doing your thing ❤

You are very welcome. Thank you for watching. I figure if I'm going to learn this, I might as well make it available to others. And it's good to get feedback from folks who let me know they also found value in the material.

Great episode! And also depressing, cause it’s hard to find hope

I actually watched this last night. It had been coming up on my feed as one of those "I'll watch it when I have time" things. But I finally got time last night, and it WAS depressing to hear a lot of what I talk about in this episode reiterated. I do need to add a caveat that Martin glosses over the Electoral College role, and the findings of the Mueller Report on the 2016 election. But outside of that, I thought it was an informative interview: th-cam.com/video/EuB5SeahL-E/w-d-xo.html

Hey Tracie just wanted to say that you're very thorough in the topics that you talk about! I always look for to your videos. Thanks for all the hard work you do!

Thank you. I just want to reiterate I have no expertise in these topics. It's just me literally doing online reading and sharing what I find. So, anything that sounds odd or fishy to anyone listening, they should read more on their own, because I could be unaware of key info on any of these topics. But also this is why I use mundane sources, so nobody can say that any of this is fringe or conspiracy--it's literally part of the public record. It's just things we don't think to look for--at least things I don't think to look for, until I do.

    Hello Ms Harris
I've spent about 2 hours trying to find out where you were after having left "Atheist Experience".
I found your co-hosting of that show to be erudite, insightful and helpful in my own sporadic exploration of my own Atheism.
(I say "sporadic" only because my Atheism is well settled, having commenced 30+ years ago)
I'm pleasantly surprised to see your presence on TH-cam is current and active.
    I wish you the best.
    D.

    58:24 We don't get jobs.
We have to beg for them.
The oligarchs require a reserve army of labor, so they have to make sure there are always unemployed people.

It really was alarming to me to see that the interplay between oligarchs/plutocracy was so overt in the DSAC. It wasn't just the system rigged to their advantage, but actual hands-on control of the system. "I have a feeling WE'RE helping THEM." 100%. And you're right, that they keep us desperate in order to ensure we cannot refuse to work. I compared austerity to a systemic Pinkerton substitute in another episode (I don't think it was this one? But maybe it was?). Because we have that gun to our heads. Work or else. And the 'or else' is demonstrated to us on the daily by people without jobs and how they are forced to live. If you haven't seen Black Mirror's "15 million merits"--I recommend it.

Thank you so much. I'll check it out.
Technically being homeless isn't illegal, but lots of the aspects of being homeless are.
Which makes it practically illegal to not work.

Yes, between "vagrancy" laws and hostile architecture, it's a horrifying dystopia.
