Steam Deck is the new playstation portable, they should've made a collab with sony to port every playstation game to the deck at launch.
PSVita still have loyal and passionate fan base even until today. Imagine if Sony was treating the Vita right from the beginning

i want it too cuz i hate that every person in this world stays in his own home to play not the old campaign splitscreen but all online stuff, my brother told me that he always carried with him a psp, he had thousands of save files. he traded many games with his friends.those times must have been beautiful

I remember playing the PSP in my younger days! It truly was a ps3 on the go! Graphics were elite! Sound was elite! Can download music and pictures on that too! Really was beyond the time!! Best game to be released forsure!!

There was also the Sony Ericsson W600, which was a sliding Java phone with two dedicated gaming buttons (square and cross) which allowed you to hold & play it in landscape mode. And a prototype for an Xperia Play 2 turned up last year. It was basically a rectangular slim Android phone with the slide-out Xperia Play controls. I still think Sony could do well in the handheld space if they built a phone with dedicated Playstation controls like the Xperia Play, that could connect to your PS5, and had backwards compatibility with the PSP and Vita.

@@Flatlife Thank you, and I understand how larger channels have a much bigger fan base but they seem to only care about money. But with small channels, they read the comments and actually care about their audience like you.
For me, the memory card of the PS Vita was a huge factor when I finally got one. It was too expensive and it was surely needed for the games. Of course, now you can softmod it and add an sd card which makes things so much better.
I love watching your videos. It's such a delight. Even when I'm on bad mood, the simple fact of watching any of your videp bring me joy. I will be happy if you reach the billion suscribers someday. You even deserve your very own TV show.

I have the Sony PSP-3000 handheld for over a decade now, and I started playing it again this month after focusing so much on home consoles to play video games. It’s brought back so many memories and made me fall in love with it as my favorite bring-along entertainment device again after all those years. ☺️ It’s time I started finding more PSP games to play on it.

Yes. I would absolutely like to see a new Playstation Handheld that simply plays PS4 and PS5 titles. Pretty simple at this point with technology in the industry. P.S. I use to make education graphics/videos like this so I know the amount of effort that went into creating this video. Well done.

Vita is definitely the most underrated console of all time ! It was the only true rival to the DS and 3DS, the games on it were so different, you had FPSs, the GTAs, Borderlands and a plethora of games that Nintendo Consoles wouldn’t go near.

I'm lucky to even have a PocketStation myself since they were Japan exclusive but I had one shipped over to me, as a collectors item.
Also the PsVita may have been a failure before but now with custom firmware they are more popular than ever. Weird that consoles can be more popular when discontinued.
If Sony just use a a normal sd card and not proprietary memory card. It would be more popular than Nintendo switch right now.

This video is pretty good, but i noticed some errors:
1: The gameplay they showed off for gta liberty city stories is, in fact, from vice city stories
2: The psp go doesn't use the memory stick duo medium, it uses the m2 medium (i say this because when they said that the memories were to expensive on the psp go, they have shown ms pro duo).
3: Playstation mobile isn't an emulator, it's an gaming mode/interface for android games and ps1 emulated games (the downloaded games have the emulator on them, not the ps mobile app)
4: god of war II is in the god of war collection of ps vita, with god of war 1 (it would be useful to clarify that it's in a pack)
5: only the ps vita 2000/slim has 1 gigabyte of memory, the fat model doesn't have any memory at all.
But i have to say... What an amazing graphic design!! I congratulate all the people who did this :)

I am proud that I owned PSP E1000. No wifi was the only problem I faced. But luckily I wasn't much into online gaming at that time. Was able to download a PSP E1000 game in the PC and extract it to a PSP compatible ISO mode and played all the games in PSP as much as possible.

The ps vita is one of those things that looks really cool but when you hear that everybody hates it you get confused

@@HowardVangorder I've had one since 2015. It sure is great but the games were too expensive even 5 years after its release. One thing is that. The other one is that it could've been a great successor to PSP if it wasn't
1) for their memory cards which were expensive as heck and they were exclusively made for PS Vita, meaning that in case you did something wrong and lost everything on the device, you wouldn't be able to backup the files from the card onto a computer (neither a different PS Vita system) and
2) the bad advertising before its release. And I have a feeling that if they only kept the 1000 version and just re-released it with a micro USB port and better battery, it would've been SO much better and would've definitely sold much more

I have a PSP1000 and i can say it's not bad at all!
It's especially good if you mod it, you can play homebrew stuff which is all amazing! There is homebrew Minecraft, homebrew Cave Story, some original games like silverlight, and of course emulators. There is pretty much no reason to not mod it as of now because you'll likely not even connect it to the internet. And if you do, then the PS Store doesn't even work anymore i think.
So you need to buy some UMDs with games to play them legally. Which is acceptable for me.
I got my PSP (3000*) today, I love it. I will create alot of games for it :)

Would love to see a new NGP device from Sony that worked with both PS5 and PS4. I still love my Vita and I think if they could just make a newer version based on the Xperia with both 5G, WiFi, and PS5 + PS4 connectivity, it would sell like hot cakes especially since the PS5 is so hard to find these days. It would then be communication, app and VPN capable like any other smart phone but the bonus would be remote play for PlayStation 5 and PS4 gaming.
Of course, it is time. We should see another and a new PS Vita gaming handheld because they were the only serious competitors against Nintendo DS and 3DS although they never sold more devices than them. However, they were the second best selling gaming handheld at those years.
I own a psp and owned a DS and honestly I loved and played both alot. So I dont know which one I like better I'd have to think a while but I do like the psp alot.

Even though I already have a Switch Lite, I'd honestly like to see Sony have at least one more go at a handheld. The Vita could've easily competed with the 3DS, especially with the latter's rocky launch. Like imagine something similar to the PS5, but portable, sort of like the PSP to the PS2

I still own my psp 3000 and it’s still fun to use. I am actually a little disappointed that Sony discontinued and stopped producing PlayStation portables. I have always wondered what a psp would look like today. If they ever did, I would hope they would make it
with a bigger screen, a lot more storage and ram and of course much better graphics. my biggest dream is to have PlayStation portable play. The original need for speed franchise amongst other things like the PS2, Xbox and PC.
I can only imagine Sony building PlayStation portable for PS4 and PS5 games. I would seriously love to play. Call of Duty or GTA5 while im away from home. That would be a dream come true.
IMO modern PSP should be an overpowered Android/Linux device with some exclusive games and features. Sony Ericsson xplay on steroids
