motorcycles are crude and brutish and dangerous, sort of like minimally trained dancing grizzly bears.....i've always thought of INDIAN as the archetypal motorcycle, the only real american motorcycle with the right name, the right look, the right history, and that magic combination of ferocity and wilderness glitz that makes for great movies and drama......what other motorcycle in the world can compete on equal footing with a 1950's Indian Chief for sheer story and presence? none

Interesting that every one of the featured bikes had shifter on the left, and throttle on the right, when there were so many civilian bikes that featured the police style with shifting and throttle reversed. Not a complaint about the video, but, unfortunately, most of the Indian bikes in my area of Canada were the

My understanding early 20th century Indian motorsickles Police bikes were set up that way, most Americans were right handed so law Enforcement could use their right hand to draw their weapon. And left hand was used to throttle the bike.
