the price of the 33 is robbery for a fuckin od pedal
It's not an OD, but a boost.
The most expensive component inside is the charge pump... then the pot.
I find it crazy that the null test worked this well. I mean because alone of the variancy in analog parts two same pedals from the same brand would likely have differences.
Now THATS how you do an indepth comparison. Would love more of these vids. Hell of a job dude 👍🏻
The depth of analysis in this video is amazing! Great job!
nice video, these cheap vs. expensive reviews are always very welcome
I'm still waiting for DemonFX to do a copy of the Zuul. That would be really awesome. It's just really cool when cheap pedals can sound just as good as overpriced ones.
As if I already didn't have enough boost pedals..now I have to get another one : )' (The Demon 66 that is)
You can never have enough boost pedals!
Yeah man I went with that Dirty Tree over the 33 just because of the price difference . I haven't tried the 33 yet so don't know how similar they are but I dig the DT with my 7 string on the blue channel of my EVH head.
Cool video man!
I have a fortin 33 and I used to use it all the time. Now I have an evh 5150 and it does not need a boost. And I discovered today that my mesa single recto does really cool stuff without a boost as well. So it does not see use at all at the moment.
usually people boost the 5150 not to get more gain but to alter the gain structure going into the amp.
Thank you for doing these type videos,Draven...Help us broke guys.lol👍
I have a few Demon FX pedals and they are really cool, expecially considered how cheap they are.
GupTech Grindr
Thx for the comparison! Is it just me or the 66 sound a little more fizzy? Maybe not the exact same amount of gain when comparing?
I have the Demonfx KSR Ceres clone for $100.00 & it's not bad, it's a little noisy ? though, I don't have the KSR Ceres $399.00 to compare too,
I’ll have to see if I can get my hands on one!
@@dravennoire If you can get the KSR Ceres pedal, I can send you my Demonfx clone to do a comparison, Let me know ?
I've had a few DemonFX pedals and the noise issue has been prevalent on most of them unfortunately. It sounds like a power filtering issue, like a squealing noise when you turn the gain up past halfway
it's not a clone, but they managed to get their hands on the original PCB files.
Try demonfx G String noise supressor. Result is very close to original ISP Decimator.
Try Mosky M series bro...chinese made nowdays too many clone but sound preety good... LYR Pedal Clone KSR
I can NOT hear a difference
The 33 sounds tighter on the low end. The FX 66 sounds flubby/loose to my ears.
doesn't show up in the eq. must be in your head. especially with the phase test.
Both sound really good!!!Demon has a bit more growl/teeth.
