    Its a very controversial issue. Government thinks that removing the community is gonna make the landscape more attractive but indeed living historical area is much more valuable than the man made thing.

    They did the same ten+yrs ago a couple of kays upriver at Pra Sumen fort.

A must for those who wish to dig deeper into the history of this community and its ongoing battles to survive. With the help of architecture students and professors from a number of universities, the community has offered many alternative plans to the Bangkok Metro Administration over the years.
