Leather Backpack Review at Head of the River Nile

- This is the leather backpack I took with me on a recent trip and describe it here at the Head of the River Nile at Jinja. I took this backpack here to Rwanda, Uganda, then left it with a South African friend in Gabon. I was attached to this laptop backpack, but it needed to happen.

I got this backpack last fall. I love it. I actually had to return it twice though because both times, the pockets that were sewn on had loose string, so with enough pressure and wear, the pockets would have just fallen off eventually. Liking the bag so far, only a few things I don’t like.

Yeah. Definitely saving to get of these. Super nice looking. Gonna be my EDC. Ive gone through like, 3 in the last year. Im done with the cheap ones.

This is great and all but its missing 1 thing.....why no cord & clip on the inside to hold your keys 🤔

What size is the bag in this video? Is it the thin front pocket backpack or is it the regular sized one?

Do u sell templates? New to leatherworking. The backpack looks awesome
Hi Jane, we don't sell templates, but here's some advice. Use as few of pieces as you can get away with so you don't have to sew as much, if you're new to it.
Why did you get rid of the strap to sinch it and have just the clip instead
will that interior laptop pocket fit a 17 inch laptop?

So beautiful..I love it. Does it come in a smaller size. Only because I'm a new yorker. There's more building than that beautiful scenery 👍😂 wow' I know I could get use to that.... outdoor life style
Gladys Lugo I have a simple backpack, which is like this one without pockets, and it’s a medium. It’s not too big, and I’ve been using it for 5 years now.
We have a super similar backpack called the Thin Front Pocket Backpack. A lot of people like it better than this one because of it's smaller size.

Why is veg tan bad for walking in the rain?
I'm no expert, but I've heard vegetable tanned leather will leave spots when rained on and can become stiff. I've also heard it can smell particularly bad as well.
@@maxwell_b is that why my tobacco front pocket wallet looks ugly now? I've had it for less than a year but it's definitely had it's fair share of water exposure.

There's no doubt that Saddleback Leather products are top-notch when it comes to their quality and appearance. However, there is one problem: none of their bags and backpacks can be locked to protect what's inside. In today's world, thieves are everywhere, and they won't hesitate to snatch valuables from tourist bags. The best defense against such incidents is to have a bag or backpack that can be locked at all times. Unfortunately, this feature is not available in any of Saddleback Leather's products.
Watch out for the hippos along the edge of Victoria mate. Most dangerous animal on the continent. Get a chance to use that leather coffin of yours.
