the box that said "TORPEDOS" ,they were called track torpedoes, were in use before modern communication. it was an explosive that was put on the track. when a train ran over it, it would explode letting the train crew to know there was danger ahead abd to stop.
Yes, indeed, when you do your research you may be able to confirm what I found these wooden wedge plows were designed for service out west starting in the mid 1840s.
Yup you are correct! Very nice people I’m glad I met them! The directions I got was to park in the park behind the trains there is actually a parking lot in front you can park and see the trains!

I remember seeing similar engines running on the metro North line near Tremont Avenue in the Bronx in the 80s.
These could be those engines, the Milford train station had a lot of these transported here in the 90’s from all over. Thanks for watching!
