Killer intro and outro song, haha. Thanks for rockin my tunes! I'm with you, I was totally a hater for e-bikes until my neighbor got one and I tried it out. I imagined it being more like one of those 70s Honda Mopeds with the pedals but pedal assist is a whole different thing. You still have to work for it while riding, you just get a little extra boost that can help you get up hills and ride longer without killing yourself. If I was an athlete I probably wouldn't ride an e-bike but just for a casual rider that gets out on the trail occasionally it really made the more challenging terrain in Wales accessible for me. Glad you are digging the new bike and look forward to seeing how you customize it and get the most bang for your buck!
@@spacesinbetweenproductions still hoping you can make it to Trexall! I don’t know how much customizing I’m gonna do the bikes pretty set up. But I guess I will wind up doing some little things!
Glad you made it! I was listening and initially didn't sound positive, then you had that pedal strike. What is the crank arm length? Level 1 on my bike (VVolt sirius) merely compensates for the added weight/resistance.
@@the_blair_bike_project they are 165mm crank arms. I think i hit a stump. Whatever it is, I hit really hard. I really thought I broke something but it didn’t.
Glad you got your bike. I still will say you get what you pay for.. and i know your LBS will skip all these 'shipping problems' you would have buying from online sources.. money well spent buying local in my honest opinion. Good luck with it!
@@ChristopherLee-g5u it was not cheap by any standard! The only way i could get this bike was online. Ive said it before, for most people the best way definitely is to buy from your local bike shop, i just like what I like though!
@@the_blair_bike_project toward the end I was getting used to it and everything was working pretty good. I’m 6 foot tall and 225 pounds so I generally can throw a bike around pretty easy but I’m used to 30 pound bikes, not 50 pound bikes!
Glad you got the e-bike after all that shipping drama. I feel like the last mile delivery companies kind of do whatever they want. You looked like you were going rally fast downhill. Some local bike shops don’t work on these yet. Do you feel comfortable repairing an e-bike? Curious
@@OutDehExplorer other than the motor and the battery the same as any other mountain bike, I’m not afraid of working on it at all! If there is an issue with the motor, you’re basically sending it back to the manufacturer to be worked on. There’s nothing you really can do to it at home.
NEW BIKE DAY!!!!!!!
@@yardsalecycles didn’t really go smoothly but, in the end, I guess that’s what it was !

Feel the weight on mine too, mine's 55lb and transferring weight into turns is sluggish: it's not twitchy
