- LeBron James and Anthony Davis had some choice words for the referees following the Los Angeles Lakers loss to the Denver Nuggets. The Lakers, now down 2-0, felt that a foul that was reversed affected the game. Craig Carton disagrees, and says that the Lakers have had ample opportunities to win both games and haven’t capitalized.

It’s a well known fact that the Lakers have been rewarded with an 1100+ advantage in the free throw column over the past 2 seasons over their opponents, and in game 1 this past Saturday, the Lakers were given a 20-6 free throw advantage by the refs and they still lost…last night, the chosen one missed a wide open shot with zero defenders on him and yet has the nerve to blame the refs?? That’s just an example of being entitled and a spoiled brat…has anyone heard the self proclaimed GOAT accept responsibility for his game high 7 turnovers a few days ago? You want to draw contact from a player, you go in that's why they call the foul. It's the trick. Lebron actually gets foul alot with missed calls from the Refs then you get the league saying they missed the call.

The Lakers lead the league in FT differential by a wide margin going back to last season; not trynna hear them blame officiating for a loss.

When I played BB my JV coach told us: “When the referee calls a foul on you, stand up straight and turn to the scorer’s table, quietly raise your hand up, no complaints, we accept the calls, be quiet and take your place for the foul shots, if they are awarded.” LeBrain should try what I just wrote; stop the whining, complaining, flopping, cheating, lying, blaming others, not playing defense, taking bad shots, and learn to be quiet!

Playing the champs and acting like you are the champs is 2 different things. The reveal of game 2 is that Denver is playing a mental game that enhances their talent while LA is just relying on talent and name. This is why Lebron got tired, AD was bent over because his is burned out and the support cast is non existent. People need to wake up. LA maxed out and lost. This is why prior to the series LA was "scared" to play Denver. Now we are seeing the reality play out. We will take it one game at time and continue to watch Denver play a system game versus LA playing a star game.

1) Davis disappeared offensively immediately after Malone put Aaron Gordon on him?

This is what has happened. Just a few weeks ago there was a stat that showed the Lakers as having the most net free throw attempts in the league this season....more than twice as many as the team with the second most. And this is with the Lakers being ranked 22nd in the league in driving to the goal. The Lakers probably got used to getting to the the line but forgot that in the playoffs, the refs let the players play. Playoff ball is more physical. It's not the old "no fracture no foul" days in the 90s and first half of the 00s. But still, many of the regular season calls don't exist in the playoffs. SInce teams have only played 1-2 playoff games so far this season, their minds will eventually get adjusted after a few more games.
Its called momentum. Bad calls by referees can have runs start or continue.

if you proclaim yourself as the GOAT, lead your team to win. Lebron, knowing that AD only had 1 shot in the 4th, he should have asked him to post-up, and then he should have passed him the ball. I'm pretty sure, AD would have at least 2-3 baskets enough to stop the Denver run in the 4th quarter.

AD should not have to demand the ball, especially when he was cooking for 3 quarters. And not with the so-called GOAT, who has the "greatest" IQ in basketball history on his team. We can only assume that Lebron heard the talk about him not showing up in the 4th quarter of game one and decided that he was gonna go for his. Which would have made sense in the 3rd quarter, when he had a smaller KCP guarding him. So yes, you can blame AD, but you also have to point the finger at the coach and Lebron as well.
