Despite the situation others made sure to dismantle the hydra for parts. So they were basically sitting in a lawless zone, in one of the most dangerous places in their world in a shit ton of money on them.

Oh and he had his injury to deal with as well. Like the dude was not doing well.

After reading on the differences between the ln and anime and getitng more context on the situation, the anime really did show roxy and rudeus in a way more negative light than they deserve.
I am actually surprised that Slyphy was ok with rudeus being polygamous. Because, considering that she was the one who helped rudeus to be cured of his ED and sacrificed a lot to help him, if she heard that rudeus cheated with another woman it would be understandable if she left him and took their child away to live with princesd Ariel regardless of the reasons for cheating on her.
Actually, Sylphy already believed that Rudeus will eventually want a second or even a third wife, considering who his father is and the Greyrat bloodline (perverts). The only thing she can't accept is Rudeus marrying Nanahoshi.
I think people use the greyant bloodline as an excuse for rudeus to have many wives. Although, rudeus and the males in his father's family can be perverts, i don't think that's the reason why he decided to marry roxy. I think he decided to marry her because he felt guilty with the whole pregnancy scandal and rather preferred to marry her rather than leave her and the child without her family. Anyways the one who should really be blamed is Elinase as what she did betrayed her granddaughter's trust. Ironic because, she was warning rudeus not to do anything to betray her granddaughter's trust.

Anime nowadays is...okay at best. I think that lying about Roxy being pregnant should be talked about in the anime because it doesn't make any sense for Rudeus to marry Roxy just because of his respect/love(?) for Roxy. Pregnancy is the only way to go to make her an official wife for Rudeus.
Blaming Elinalise for him cheating is going a bit far, but she is 100% repsonsible for him marrying another woman, he hold on pretty strong on not wanting another wife but Elinalise went as far as to lie to him that Roxy was pregnant most likely.

Blame Elinalise, and I mean, really do blame her. In the LN, Rudeus was not only depressed, he was UNRESPONSIVE. When Roxy went to comfort him, he didn’t respond to anything, and then...Roxy started to be more affectionate (Just hugs), and Rudeus was still unreaponsive, and Roxy, desperate for hin to snap out of it, followed Elinalise's advice, and did the deed. By the end of it, Rudeus snapped out of his grief by the shock of IT happening. And the Elinalise went and said that Roxy was pregnant, and the rest is history. Without Elinalise's advice, Roxy wouldn't have done anything, though Rudeus would still be unreaponsive and probably starving himself out of self-blame, and most likely dead
I feel bad for Sylphie. Imagine your husband being so hurt, he has sex with another woman to get over it... so Sylphy isn't the goddess of love then. It's like he just kept Sylphy around in case he had ED again. Love the show and its story but the 3 wives thing is so meh.

It's entirely possible Hitogami was fine with it up until Lara was actually born, since Roxy's pregnancy is actually the easiest time for him to strike and potentially kill her. It did work in the original timeline after all, since Dark Rudeus is a thing

After reading on the differences between the ln and anime and getitng more context on the situation, the anime really did show roxy and rudeus in a way more negative light than they deserve.
I am actually surprised that Slyphy was ok with rudeus being polygamous. Because, considering that she was the one who helped rudeus to be cured of his ED and sacrificed a lot to help him, if she heard that rudeus cheated with another woman it would be understandable if she left him and took their child away to live with princesd Ariel regardless of the reasons for cheating on her.
Actually, Sylphy already believed that Rudeus will eventually want a second or even a third wife, considering who his father is and the Greyrat bloodline (perverts). The only thing she can't accept is Rudeus marrying Nanahoshi.
She brought up the idea of a mistress so… it’s not really far fetched she accepted this
I think she was also far more accepting given the circumstances and the fact it was Roxy, a woman who shares the same deep love for Rudeus.
I think people use the greyant bloodline as an excuse for rudeus to have many wives. Although, rudeus and the males in his father's family can be perverts, i don't think that's the reason why he decided to marry roxy. I think he decided to marry her because he felt guilty with the whole pregnancy scandal and rather preferred to marry her rather than leave her and the child without her family. Anyways the one who should really be blamed is Elinase as what she did betrayed her granddaughter's trust. Ironic because, she was warning rudeus not to do anything to betray her granddaughter's trust.

Anime nowadays is...okay at best. I think that lying about Roxy being pregnant should be talked about in the anime because it doesn't make any sense for Rudeus to marry Roxy just because of his respect/love(?) for Roxy. Pregnancy is the only way to go to make her an official wife for Rudeus.

Blame Elinalise, and I mean, really do blame her. In the LN, Rudeus was not only depressed, he was UNRESPONSIVE. When Roxy went to comfort him, he didn’t respond to anything, and then...Roxy started to be more affectionate (Just hugs), and Rudeus was still unreaponsive, and Roxy, desperate for hin to snap out of it, followed Elinalise's advice, and did the deed. By the end of it, Rudeus snapped out of his grief by the shock of IT happening. And the Elinalise went and said that Roxy was pregnant, and the rest is history. Without Elinalise's advice, Roxy wouldn't have done anything, though Rudeus would still be unreaponsive and probably starving himself out of self-blame, and most likely dead

I think it'd be that much better of a story if Rudy chose 1 girl and his experience is heart break and learning why it never worked with anyone else because he is meant to be with either of the 3. This cheating could have been a plot point. Instead, it's just "ah, who cares? I have 3 wives now."" Roxy and Eris could have just Bern allies and I say this as a Eris fan. Roxy wanting to sleep with him due to his sadness, which could have been a powerful moment he said no to.
