hear me out, a blend of superhot and ghostrunner but you play as a harlequin solitaire and murder everything from hundreds of guardsmen to knights to custodes in glorious hyper-mobile combat
The fact that you mention superhot is so fitting for Harlequins, or most eldar with the idea of view all of combat in a slow motion. What would be kinda cool is when you're fighting imperials that includes custodes, and while everyone else is moving in slow motion, the custodes just move slightly slower than you or equal to your speed as a form of increased difficulty.
Another idea, a city builder for a Craftworld, right after the Fall of the Eldar, which would resemble a mix between Frostpunk and an RTS, replacing the cold with demonic infection right after the Eye opened. The RTS aspect would be for the inevitable Demonic incursions on your Craftworld, it'd be neat to see what the Eldar used to defend themselves before the Aspect Warriors appeared.
That would be cool! That’d a neat period to explore in a game. You’re the second or third person to mention frost punk, I really gotta try that out sometime. Thanks for watching, I like your idea!
For the Custodians, I think it would be fun to have a Dynasty Warriors-like game. "But Vincent, that's basically 'Space Marine I/II'". Yes, you are right, but I want MORE ENEMIES ON THE SCREEN!!!
I’d love a warriors type game for 40K! Custodes would be awesome for that. In my original draft for this video I had a warriors type aspect warrior pitch, but ended up cutting it down to 5 pitches. I think custodes would work super well for that. Thanks for watching!
For the longest time, I have wanted to see Star Wars Battlefront, but with 40K. Massive battles with a bunch of players on each side as different factions fight for victory around iconic locations in 40K lore. I mean, how goddamn cool would it be to play a Guardsman on the ground escorting an Imperial Knight as you push through lines of Chaos Cultists.
An idea I've had bouncing around in my head for a while now has been "Ascension Day". Take the gameplay formula from Star Wars Battlefront and pit the Astra Militarum against the Genestealer Cults as they rise up and try to take the world. You start the match as a Guard Rifleman/Neophyte Hybrid in squads (like Battlefield) and as you play and earn tickets you can respawn as stronger units, like Kasrkin and Scions or Acolytes and Metamorphs. You have Commissar vs Primus, Psyker vs Magus, Bullgryn vs Aberrant. Both sides have plenty of troop variety, weapon variety, and enough heroes to choose from I think it would be an incredibly fun game.

The 40K game I really want is basically just battlefront 2 with a war hammer coat of paint. All the regular soldiers would be the lower level troops like guardsmen, fire warriors, and cultists. All the elites/heros would be stuff like space marines aspect warriors, terminators and some tanks thrown in.
Doom Eternal but as an Eversor Assassin. You’re on a time limit before those combat drugs that make you move faster, hit harder, and shoot better turn your insides into your outsides, but killing will buy you time. Have a Hotline Miami-style combo meter that stacks a multiplier on top of the time you get per kill and some insane movement (like Titanfall 2 taken to 11) and you’re set for a rip-snorting good time
This kind of draws from your superb TV show idea, but I personally would love a Cuphead style shoot ‘em up game played from the Ork’s perspective - You fight every loyal imperial unit all the way up to even the god emperor himself. Animated like a 30s cartoon with the most epic boss fights.
Horus Heresy Battlefield, factions are the space marine legions, with their vehicles. Imperial Army/Mechanicus troops and vehicles are also around the map as squad support call ins. Knights and Titans can be controlled by players.
1. A horde shooter where you and your friends play as a deathwatch kill team fighting orkz. With a character builder like darktide, where you choose your character's class and chapter. 2. A first-person action rpg where you play as a chaos space marine. The primary leveling system is gaining favor from the gods, like in total warhammer 3. 3. A Ciaphas Cain fps where each level is narrerated by Cain and Inquisitor Vail. 4. Not a 40k game, but an Age Or Sigmar game where you play as Gotrek Gunisson on his quest to find his old friend Felix Jeager in the mortal realms.
Okay, just a hail marry shot in the dark idea but hear me out... Fire Warrior but good this time, crazy i know! Okay but being serious, i would love a 40k Cod/Battlefront fps game with different campaigns being like different regiments or iconic big battles from the perspective of a grunt The first few missions would be Cadian boot camp and light infantry skirmishes, then a few missons of Elysian drop troop assults with the big final mission being a death krops last stand against a tyranid swarm
Armored Core style Titan game. Final boss, Emperor Imperator class titan, The Abominatus or if you really wanna go super crazy, The Castigator class titan
I honestly feel like you could make a genuine fps game (albeit more melee focused) out of Kharn's storyline in the heresy. You could start it with a more halo style gameplay for the early stages with istvaan into the shadow crusade but ultimately changes to a doom (2016) style when it culminates at the siege of terra due to khornate corruption.
I really like the idea of a stealth game, like Dishonored, but you play as young Konrad Curze on Nostramo, tracking down criminals and maybe getting options to "display" them in a manner that would generate the most fear.
a cool idea i had was game of a custodian in a blood game. a sort of combat like game with some style of puzzle solving from movement puzzles to actual puzzles and combat "puzzles" avoiding groups of custodians hunting you or being able to figure out a way to disable them to escape or progress
-Dynasty Warriors: 40k. The characters would have to be Custodes level or above for the swathes of units they could kill. Gundam did it well. -Speaking of mech robots, Armored Core but with T'au Crisis Suit builder. -Can't take credit for this one (PancreasNoWork), Dark Souls: The End Times. Also, unironically want to see Custodes mastering Warhammer Kpop.

A game idea I had for the Astra Militarum was a type of shooter similar to OG Gears of War games as i think that type of gameplay would suit the Guardsmen really well.
Mechwarrior style game. With Titans and Knights. Have hordes of Leman Russes came at you and you're blasting them. have separate missions you can control different machines from different characters in campaign. The Kasrkin game you mentioned, have it use the same controls as Republic Commando, a squad based shooter.
I am rather unimaginative so my best pitch is a Wargame Red Dragon/WARNO style 40k game. You get your sector command divisions and build your own deck, maybe you can even take into account tabletop rules for points and such. On your Kasrkin idea, how about Kasrkin squad like rebublic commando?
I don’t play for honor anymore, I’ve grown to hate it, HOWEVER the idea of a for honor style 40K game is amazing. Also the tyranid rogue like is another great idea
My favourite 40k game idea came from one of Isyander & Koda's streams It's Dead By Daylight + Outlast but you play as a lesser daemon and you're being hunted by a Grey Knight
Alright all of these are good but hear me out, a metro exodus/ S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Pseudo open world game focused on a guardsmen trying to lead a band of survivors to an extraction site before the world is exterminatus with an extraction style MP focused on PVE and retrieving (or destroying) artifacts. And building your arsenal. As well as community raids where you come together collectively with a strike team to defeat a chaos incursion or ork warband. And high value targets themed after the community raids. Popping up as optional high risk high reward objective These would pop up in the form of dungeons or lairs.
I think a battlefront style game where different factions duke it out could be cool. Imperium could be represented by space marines and if you get some points you can spawn in as a terminator and if you get a lot of points you can spawn in as a dreadnought or something just like how in battlefront you can spawn in as an elite infantry or a hero. Eldar could do the same with aspect warriors and wraithlords and the necrons could do it too with immortals and lokhust destroyers with maybe a skorpekh lord or lokhust heavy as their dreadnought equivalent. Obviously some factions are so out gunned they couldnt really be involved (lookin at you guard) but I think it could be an interesting idea Also, I know a lot of this stuff isnt perfect 1/1. I know on tabletop a dreadnought is noticeably tougher than a destroyer lord and waay tougher than a lokhust heavy but the game wouldnt have to be perfectly balanced around tabletop and they wouldnt have to have identical stats anyway because they have different strengths and weaknesses. The dread would be way tankier and have better melee but the lokhust heavy would be faster and have a far better gun, stuff like that. I mean, in battlefront han solo and darth vader are both in the hero class and the balance isnt totally broken. Idk, I think it could work
Now hear me out. Shadow of Mordor but with the Orks. You play a regular Ork climbing up to become a war boss and try to start a waghh on the planet and fight the PDF
Idea so take your second idea but make it for every faction and you can be any role for ex: you can controle other people and tell them where to go and fight or a rouge trader. There will also be weekly wars where two factions fight over the week with real people will have open mic to every one to simulate thousands of people talking and screaming. How the game would work is you start out as a gardsmen (any regement) and a zenos kills you you can become a zenos or stay as a gardsmen and work your way up to a high lord of tera or any others factions highest generals.
I think that a more traditional fighting game could work, but you gotta open in up to more than just space marines. There are enough characters in all of 40k that you can make one and keep it going via dlc fighters for a long time, and still have a varied roster. I think tekken/soul caliber style would work pretty well too and stand out more that most 2d fighters.
Valkyria Chronicles gameplay style Imperial Guard or Skitarii game, you play as the commander, and on the map you pick one unit and then it zooms in so you control that unit for a while, alternating between your turn and the enemy turn. Skitarii would make sense in the lore too since they often take over control over their units, but Imperial Guard would be cooler and it could have the whole characters with personality traits and morale, and perma death too. And SEGA has worked with GW before to great success so I think this one would be great.

I think an imperial navy game were you play as a captain would be really cool! I imagine it would be like a city management game along with xcom (sending in armsmen to deal with threats and stuff), and all at the same time, you have to fight battles with your ship! Imagine you get boarded by Emperor-knows-what and the Breachers ready a firing line as a door gets Breached and the alarms all go off! I think it would be amazing to see!

A horror game where you are playing a Member of a rogue trader dynasty (or someone they hired) who is one of the only few survivors after they awakened a Necron tomb world trying to make that sweet sweet money. you start off hiding from scarabs and then eventually having to deal with wraiths and spyders while trying to escape the planet

My dream Warhammer 40k game: Aeldari Souls-like, Metroidvania! You play as an Aeldari Autarch of a random Craftworld that is under siege by Chaos (probably Slaanesh). In lore, Autarchs have gone down every Aspect Warrior path, so in game, you'd be able to use all kinds of Aelderi weapons and items. The basic combat would be like Dark Souls, lots of dodging and fighting tough enemies. Obtaining new weapons and items can be used to unlock new areas of the Craftworld, like Metroid. The atmosphere of the Craftworld would be pretty dire and hopeless, like Dark Souls. You'd meet a lot of crestfallen NPCs, like Guardian Defenders and civilians. You can collect Soulstones off the fallen Aelderi and trade them with the Spiritseers for blessings and upgrades. I can go on and on, lol! Anyways, Great video, man! :)
Personally I think a game that’s like Star Wars Battlefront 2 but Warhammer would be absolutely perfect, you could play as Space Marines or Guardsman, and you accumulate points throughout the match to play as special classes or named characters, there could be a bunch of skins and stuff for regiments and chapters, different classes for guardsman and marines, not to mention the maps would probably look amazing and it would have vehicles too. Idk I just think a Warhammer game similar to Battlefront 2 would be perfect for the 40K setting. Also all of the other factions like Chaos and Xenos too, so much potential.
Hear me out a black Templar hell divers 2 themed game. Drop pod into a bunch of different sizes planets and purge a ton of different xenos and heretics from a lowly ork boy to a chaos titan. Also love your vids man :)
I'm kinda stealing this, but it's too good, I can't not say this. A Dead by Daylight game, but the survivors are demons, and they are being hunted by a Custodes/Grey Knight. Grey Knights would be better because they have an Opera hum the closer you get to them and its louder the more of them there are, so instead of a heartbeat, you just hear this choir slowly getting closer and closer, then farther away, only to pick back up as it teleports right in front of you screaming, "FOR THE EMPEROR!"
Ooh I like the idea of playing as the daemons in a horror game. Usually you see the daemons being the monster and the player is a guardsman or something. I know we already have DoW 1/2 but I would probably be willing to kill for a 40k RTS game in the vein of Warno or Steel Division where you build up your own regiment/Chapter/Warband all that jazz. Similar to that, an XCOM style game where you run a Space Marine chapter in the Dark Imperium and have to manage your battle company strength and make decisions on which battlefronts to send Marines to in your sector. You could even have it start just after the Fall of Cadia and have an event where the Indomutus Crusade finally reaches your embattled sector and reinforces your chapter with Primaris Marines. I had a bunch of ideas for how you could build your own custom chapter with different strengths, weaknesses, and abilities depending on which legion they hail from and what doctrines they follow and whether they're fleet based or have a fortress monastery, and your Marines might shout different battle cries depending on their heritage.

Or An horror Apothecary game, your goal is to collect the gene seeds from fallen brothers, mentally affect yourself while ensuring your brothers get home safe...
I feel like a game based on The War in the Webway when the custodes fought against the worst horrors of the warp would be fun. Multiplayer and Campaign would work well for this.
How about a alien isolation-like horror game where you are a normal imperial citizen trying to survive a nightlord warband invasion but let's make the nightlord your running from a neophyte to make things fair
you forgot the warhammer 40k mods of starfield, where you have mechs, fleets and fleet battles, and 1000 planet where you can have ALL the factions in it
We already kind of have tactical guardsmen game. It's TTRPG called Only War, where you with your friends can make your own guard squad of different regiments and go on a very deadly mission. Also hear me out, a Necromunda GTA style of game with open world
I prefer co-op walk-along beat-em-ups over pure fighting games. Something like Captain Commando, Alien Storm or the Aliens vs Predator arcade game. Or it could be more a run-and-gun like the Aliens 1990 arcade. With proper pixel graphics, not 3D.
Class ideas all of them, only thing I'd alter is the fighting game. If you were going for a 'For Honour' type of game, then I'd argue that Warhammer Fantasy or AoS would be better suited towards that, but great video nonetheless!
Okay .. hear me out, something totall weird .. : A good 40k RTS. In the style of Supreme Commander with a sprinkle of Rimworld with a destructable/buildable map. I want insane amounts of Units on the map, ALL available units, with formations and squads ( and if it takes a 100 DLCs like Gladius ) I want to go full on Rogal Dorn on the map and build the biggest Sandcastle there is .. Story optional .. heres the Planet take it in the name of

@@jamessquirrell1994personally I would prefer the enforcer units include space Marines for a couple reasons, one, There's too many unique space Marine chapters to have them all be heros 2 Hero's usually have limit caps and I wanna have atleast 6-8 space Marine buddies. And I would rather that be the norm than some special like friend group, group decision kind of thing. 3. Primarchs, and special named space Marines would make more sense and be cooler for people involved in the lore that's just my opinion from a BF2 Veteran

Only problem there would be that not killing them is usually the harder route, and hence why it garners more points. Guess the easiest solution to that would be to not have silenced weapons. Sort of like when you trying doing a stealth run in a game where stealth isn’t meant to be an option (Helldivers for example).

I think the Trazyn Pokémon game would be absolutely peak if it ended in a Trazyn vs Trazyn boss fight after the player’s Trazyn tries to go back in time to save the Necrontyr vase that broke in his fight with Orikan
Open it with an unwinnable boss fight against a Trazyn who claims to be from the future, which motivates him to do the whole game, then close the loop by him wondering "Wait, why did that future me do all this?" have him realize 'The vase!' and go back in time so now you get a comedic stomp fest of a post final boss battle. (The final boss being some fight vs a C'Tan throwing shards at you, a bonus battle post this being a fight vs Orokan where the gimmick is you either do as he predicts or, if you've broken with 'his' timeline too many times, he resets the fight. So it's a 'what things do I need to change?' puzzle.)
Always had a big dream for a Guard vs Nid game. 4 guard players who play like any other normal co-op. And then. 50 tyranid players who can't talk, with 1 player acting as the hive mind who can talk to them all and buff, upgrade etc. Like give X player a carnifex on spawn.
Interesting idea for an asymmetric game (like the Chainsaw or other 4 v 1 games). My idea was something more so like alien isolation and games similar to it. Play as a single guard left alive after a battle went horribly wrong (which is probably common in 40K) against Tyranids. You would try to make your way through a story campaign, avoiding the larger tyranids and killing smaller ones, etc. Would definitely bring that horror aspect of the tyranids.
That would be cool, I think asymmetric PVP games are pretty interesting. What you described feels to me like halo infection dialed up to 11 to me. That’d be pretty cool Thanks for watching!
40K Surgeon simulator, where you play as a Space Marine Apothecary and perform Geneseed Implants. Lower levels are the stable Geneseeds like Ultrasmurfs and Iron Fists. Harder levels are the more unstable variants like Blood Angel, Space Wolf, and Raven Guard. Top levels are Grey Knight and Chimeric Chapters (like the Charcaradons) And once you've hit max level Alpha Plus, you're handed the Emperor's Secret Recipe and have to make a Custode. And then in an expansion or Sequel, do it all again with the Chaos Legions.
Somewhat random idea, but what about a 40k themed educational game for kids? You play as an Administratum Adept and go about your job by answering various maths and spelling questions, and every time you get a question wrong it results in dire consequences. At the end of each session, you get a summary of how many people died as a result of any mistakes you made. If you have a perfect score, your character gets a rewards along the lines of an extra 5 minutes of sleep or 3 additional beans with their breakfast.
That would be pretty funny🤣 the internet would probably love it considering games with like a pseudo kids theme with darker undertones seem to be pretty popular. 3 additional beans is great lmao Thanks for watching!
OK 40k game idea let's go First one horror game: in this game, you are a simple human task of helping the Inquisition but during your job, something has gone terribly wrong and monster have escape. It will be your job to survive and call for help from the wider Imperium (I was thinking it will be a mixture of both resident evil and alien isolation) Second one roguelike game: so this is kind like your tyranid game but instead it will be Necron. in this game you will be an Overlord who has just woken up to find he is the only one and his tomb to be broken but he hears voice in his head, it's his cryptek tell him the state of the tomb world and the battle that is going on the surface. with the help of the cryptek it is the job of the Overlord to restore his tomb world in his journey he will be help by other cryptek with other disciplines or find his lych guard third one tactical fps: in this game you are an arbites in a hive city that has gone to chaos (not the warp chaos) it is your job with your other fellow arbites to bring order on your way you will have to be careful becuase you don't know what caused this chaos and as you go on you will be approach by gang member who wants to fight or maybe join you in your quest it will be up to you to decide if they can be trusted so yeah those are 3 of my idea sorry if it's long
Ooh those ideas are all great, I’d love a 40K horror game. Darktide has a great atmosphere for a horror games, even if you’re a bit too powerful for it to be too spooky (at least imo). I’d really like if you were sneaking around and hiding from either flayed ones or there’s a chaotic incursion and there’s a night lord or something chasing you down similar to Mr X or something. Also I love the rouge like idea, I’d imagine you’d collect some of your old possessions/gear as you awaken more of your tomb or something, maybe it could even be something more RTS like where you amass an army. A rouge like RTS could potentially be interesting lol. That last idea sounds like a judge dredd game and that would be wicked cool. I’m thinking a gameplay mix of ready or not and necromunda hired fun can be cool. A bit more arcadey than ready or not, but still tactical. Thanks for watching and sharing your pitches! Just saw the first idea after mentioning my idea on another post. Love the concept and feel like 40K needs a good horror video game. My idea would have involved the Guards and the Tyranids. Love the inquisition and the one guy who loves exterminatis (which brings up the idea of trying to escape the inevitable exterminatis as the main story point), but I feel like a Guardsman would be a little scarier. Would bring about a closer feel of a normal guy trying to survive against a large threat (similar to alien isolation, although being able to kill the smaller threats and potentially large threats would be nice). The Tyranids aspect is just because they are naturally scary and deserve more of that.
@@tinman2180 Just briefly looked them up. They are scary sounding and scary looking. Would be a nightmare to see up close for sure and imagine the death scenes. Always interesting to learn something new in the 40K universe.
I think a typical fighting game could be a great fit with one caveat: it’s Orks talking about major threats, and their boasting about their wins leads to it being morphed versions of the real thing. Like ‘Ole Baleeye’ having a literal laser beam, like Ryu in the Marvel Versus Capcom games
THat would be funny lol. The reason I didn’t have a traditional fighting game for Marines was because my original draft had a Daemons fighting game in the vein or tekken or darkstalkers. I definitely think a normal fighting game could work for the 40K setting Thanks for watching!
My idea would be a massive ship battle simulator, where you command your necron vessel inside and can switch between a cryptek to repair ship functions, a pilot like an immortal and dock, where you control the troops from the ship as a nemezor and maybe go into the pov of the soldiers and fight too. Idk how that would be programmed but sounds nice. Maybe you are a pharon that is controlling his troops.
That sounds really cool! Being able to switch between all those unit types would be really cool. IK TABS let you set up a group of troops and control individual units if you wanted. As long as you have faith in the emperor you will live eternally at his side. I think a game where you control units like star craft as tyranids but the enemy faction plays in the FPS (COD) perspective. That could be fun.

The fact that you mention superhot is so fitting for Harlequins, or most eldar with the idea of view all of combat in a slow motion. What would be kinda cool is when you're fighting imperials that includes custodes, and while everyone else is moving in slow motion, the custodes just move slightly slower than you or equal to your speed as a form of increased difficulty.

Another idea, a city builder for a Craftworld, right after the Fall of the Eldar, which would resemble a mix between Frostpunk and an RTS, replacing the cold with demonic infection right after the Eye opened.
The RTS aspect would be for the inevitable Demonic incursions on your Craftworld, it'd be neat to see what the Eldar used to defend themselves before the Aspect Warriors appeared.
That would be cool! That’d a neat period to explore in a game. You’re the second or third person to mention frost punk, I really gotta try that out sometime.

For the longest time, I have wanted to see Star Wars Battlefront, but with 40K. Massive battles with a bunch of players on each side as different factions fight for victory around iconic locations in 40K lore.
I mean, how goddamn cool would it be to play a Guardsman on the ground escorting an Imperial Knight as you push through lines of Chaos Cultists.
An idea I've had bouncing around in my head for a while now has been "Ascension Day". Take the gameplay formula from Star Wars Battlefront and pit the Astra Militarum against the Genestealer Cults as they rise up and try to take the world. You start the match as a Guard Rifleman/Neophyte Hybrid in squads (like Battlefield) and as you play and earn tickets you can respawn as stronger units, like Kasrkin and Scions or Acolytes and Metamorphs. You have Commissar vs Primus, Psyker vs Magus, Bullgryn vs Aberrant. Both sides have plenty of troop variety, weapon variety, and enough heroes to choose from I think it would be an incredibly fun game.

The 40K game I really want is basically just battlefront 2 with a war hammer coat of paint. All the regular soldiers would be the lower level troops like guardsmen, fire warriors, and cultists. All the elites/heros would be stuff like space marines aspect warriors, terminators and some tanks thrown in.
Idea: "They are billions" like RTS but you are playing as guardsman regiment surviving on orc infested planet
Doom Eternal but as an Eversor Assassin. You’re on a time limit before those combat drugs that make you move faster, hit harder, and shoot better turn your insides into your outsides, but killing will buy you time. Have a Hotline Miami-style combo meter that stacks a multiplier on top of the time you get per kill and some insane movement (like Titanfall 2 taken to 11) and you’re set for a rip-snorting good time

This kind of draws from your superb TV show idea, but I personally would love a Cuphead style shoot ‘em up game played from the Ork’s perspective - You fight every loyal imperial unit all the way up to even the god emperor himself. Animated like a 30s cartoon with the most epic boss fights.
Horus Heresy Battlefield, factions are the space marine legions, with their vehicles. Imperial Army/Mechanicus troops and vehicles are also around the map as squad support call ins. Knights and Titans can be controlled by players.
1. A horde shooter where you and your friends play as a deathwatch kill team fighting orkz. With a character builder like darktide, where you choose your character's class and chapter.
2. A first-person action rpg where you play as a chaos space marine.
The primary leveling system is gaining favor from the gods, like in total warhammer 3.
3. A Ciaphas Cain fps where each level is narrerated by Cain and Inquisitor Vail.
4. Not a 40k game, but an Age Or Sigmar game where you play as Gotrek Gunisson on his quest to find his old friend Felix Jeager in the mortal realms.
Okay, just a hail marry shot in the dark idea but hear me out...
Fire Warrior but good this time, crazy i know!
Okay but being serious, i would love a 40k Cod/Battlefront fps game with different campaigns being like different regiments or iconic big battles from the perspective of a grunt
The first few missions would be Cadian boot camp and light infantry skirmishes, then a few missons of Elysian drop troop assults with the big final mission being a death krops last stand against a tyranid swarm
Armored Core style Titan game. Final boss, Emperor Imperator class titan, The Abominatus or if you really wanna go super crazy, The Castigator class titan
I honestly feel like you could make a genuine fps game (albeit more melee focused) out of Kharn's storyline in the heresy. You could start it with a more halo style gameplay for the early stages with istvaan into the shadow crusade but ultimately changes to a doom (2016) style when it culminates at the siege of terra due to khornate corruption.
I really like the idea of a stealth game, like Dishonored, but you play as young Konrad Curze on Nostramo, tracking down criminals and maybe getting options to "display" them in a manner that would generate the most fear.
a cool idea i had was game of a custodian in a blood game. a sort of combat like game with some style of puzzle solving from movement puzzles to actual puzzles and combat "puzzles" avoiding groups of custodians hunting you or being able to figure out a way to disable them to escape or progress

Your Space Marine Game sound extremely like a Deathguard Game. 4 Marine Killteams, different Chapters, wild Missions, have at it.
A game idea I had for the Astra Militarum was a type of shooter similar to OG Gears of War games as i think that type of gameplay would suit the Guardsmen really well.
Mechwarrior style game. With Titans and Knights. Have hordes of Leman Russes came at you and you're blasting them. have separate missions you can control different machines from different characters in campaign. The Kasrkin game you mentioned, have it use the same controls as Republic Commando, a squad based shooter.
I am rather unimaginative so my best pitch is a Wargame Red Dragon/WARNO style 40k game.
You get your sector command divisions and build your own deck, maybe you can even take into account tabletop rules for points and such.
On your Kasrkin idea, how about Kasrkin squad like rebublic commando?

It's Dead By Daylight + Outlast but you play as a lesser daemon and you're being hunted by a Grey Knight
Alright all of these are good but hear me out, a metro exodus/ S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Pseudo open world game focused on a guardsmen trying to lead a band of survivors to an extraction site before the world is exterminatus with an extraction style MP focused on PVE and retrieving (or destroying) artifacts. And building your arsenal. As well as community raids where you come together collectively with a strike team to defeat a chaos incursion or ork warband.
And high value targets themed after the community raids. Popping up as optional high risk high reward objective These would pop up in the form of dungeons or lairs.
A PVE Helldivers 40k would be insanely awesome. We'd all have to play as either Imperial Guard or Space Marines...not ideal, but Id still be happy.
I think that a Guardsman game in a similar vein of Halo 3: ODST would be pretty cool as well
I think a battlefront style game where different factions duke it out could be cool. Imperium could be represented by space marines and if you get some points you can spawn in as a terminator and if you get a lot of points you can spawn in as a dreadnought or something just like how in battlefront you can spawn in as an elite infantry or a hero. Eldar could do the same with aspect warriors and wraithlords and the necrons could do it too with immortals and lokhust destroyers with maybe a skorpekh lord or lokhust heavy as their dreadnought equivalent. Obviously some factions are so out gunned they couldnt really be involved (lookin at you guard) but I think it could be an interesting idea
Also, I know a lot of this stuff isnt perfect 1/1. I know on tabletop a dreadnought is noticeably tougher than a destroyer lord and waay tougher than a lokhust heavy but the game wouldnt have to be perfectly balanced around tabletop and they wouldnt have to have identical stats anyway because they have different strengths and weaknesses. The dread would be way tankier and have better melee but the lokhust heavy would be faster and have a far better gun, stuff like that. I mean, in battlefront han solo and darth vader are both in the hero class and the balance isnt totally broken. Idk, I think it could work

The Tyranid one it's intriguing, I try to see if i could do anything with only... My free time, but if i got any type of build up, i will write you
Idea so take your second idea but make it for every faction and you can be any role for ex: you can controle other people and tell them where to go and fight or a rouge trader. There will also be weekly wars where two factions fight over the week with real people will have open mic to every one to simulate thousands of people talking and screaming. How the game would work is you start out as a gardsmen (any regement) and a zenos kills you you can become a zenos or stay as a gardsmen and work your way up to a high lord of tera or any others factions highest generals.
Maybe an LA Noir Inquisition game, where the focus is hunting down xenos or heretics.
That would be cool. A very unique genre for 40K. Thanks for watching
I think that a more traditional fighting game could work, but you gotta open in up to more than just space marines. There are enough characters in all of 40k that you can make one and keep it going via dlc fighters for a long time, and still have a varied roster. I think tekken/soul caliber style would work pretty well too and stand out more that most 2d fighters.
Warriors orochi type game where you play as a necron overlord and you command a legion of necrons

Valkyria Chronicles gameplay style Imperial Guard or Skitarii game, you play as the commander, and on the map you pick one unit and then it zooms in so you control that unit for a while, alternating between your turn and the enemy turn. Skitarii would make sense in the lore too since they often take over control over their units, but Imperial Guard would be cooler and it could have the whole characters with personality traits and morale, and perma death too. And SEGA has worked with GW before to great success so I think this one would be great.

I think an imperial navy game were you play as a captain would be really cool! I imagine it would be like a city management game along with xcom (sending in armsmen to deal with threats and stuff), and all at the same time, you have to fight battles with your ship! Imagine you get boarded by Emperor-knows-what and the Breachers ready a firing line as a door gets Breached and the alarms all go off! I think it would be amazing to see!
40K fighting game could be even better.

A horror game where you are playing a Member of a rogue trader dynasty (or someone they hired) who is one of the only few survivors after they awakened a Necron tomb world trying to make that sweet sweet money. you start off hiding from scarabs and then eventually having to deal with wraiths and spyders while trying to escape the planet
God there are so many good ideas that will probably never come to fruition, I especially like the first idea of a for honor style game

My dream Warhammer 40k game: Aeldari Souls-like, Metroidvania!
You play as an Aeldari Autarch of a random Craftworld that is under siege by Chaos (probably Slaanesh). In lore, Autarchs have gone down every Aspect Warrior path, so in game, you'd be able to use all kinds of Aelderi weapons and items.
The basic combat would be like Dark Souls, lots of dodging and fighting tough enemies.
Obtaining new weapons and items can be used to unlock new areas of the Craftworld, like Metroid. The atmosphere of the Craftworld would be pretty dire and hopeless, like Dark Souls. You'd meet a lot of crestfallen NPCs, like Guardian Defenders and civilians.
You can collect Soulstones off the fallen Aelderi and trade them with the Spiritseers for blessings and upgrades.
I can go on and on, lol!

A tyranid game like battalion wars where you could switch to control the different hordes would be cool
Personally I think a game that’s like Star Wars Battlefront 2 but Warhammer would be absolutely perfect, you could play as Space Marines or Guardsman, and you accumulate points throughout the match to play as special classes or named characters, there could be a bunch of skins and stuff for regiments and chapters, different classes for guardsman and marines, not to mention the maps would probably look amazing and it would have vehicles too. Idk I just think a Warhammer game similar to Battlefront 2 would be perfect for the 40K setting. Also all of the other factions like Chaos and Xenos too, so much potential.

Hear me out a black Templar hell divers 2 themed game. Drop pod into a bunch of different sizes planets and purge a ton of different xenos and heretics from a lowly ork boy to a chaos titan. Also love your vids man :)

A Dead by Daylight game, but the survivors are demons, and they are being hunted by a Custodes/Grey Knight. Grey Knights would be better because they have an Opera hum the closer you get to them and its louder the more of them there are, so instead of a heartbeat, you just hear this choir slowly getting closer and closer, then farther away, only to pick back up as it teleports right in front of you screaming, "FOR THE EMPEROR!"
Ooh I like the idea of playing as the daemons in a horror game. Usually you see the daemons being the monster and the player is a guardsman or something. That’s pretty interesting, the grey knights would definitely be horrifying if you were on the receiving end of their bolters

I know we already have DoW 1/2 but I would probably be willing to kill for a 40k RTS game in the vein of Warno or Steel Division where you build up your own regiment/Chapter/Warband all that jazz.
Similar to that, an XCOM style game where you run a Space Marine chapter in the Dark Imperium and have to manage your battle company strength and make decisions on which battlefronts to send Marines to in your sector. You could even have it start just after the Fall of Cadia and have an event where the Indomutus Crusade finally reaches your embattled sector and reinforces your chapter with Primaris Marines. I had a bunch of ideas for how you could build your own custom chapter with different strengths, weaknesses, and abilities depending on which legion they hail from and what doctrines they follow and whether they're fleet based or have a fortress monastery, and your Marines might shout different battle cries depending on their heritage.
Both of those are very interesting! I think we’re about due for a new 40K RTS anyways

I prefer co-op walk-along beat-em-ups over pure fighting games. Something like Captain Commando, Alien Storm or the Aliens vs Predator arcade game. Or it could be more a run-and-gun like the Aliens 1990 arcade. With proper pixel graphics, not 3D.
Class ideas all of them, only thing I'd alter is the fighting game. If you were going for a 'For Honour' type of game, then I'd argue that Warhammer Fantasy or AoS would be better suited towards that, but great video nonetheless!

3. Primarchs, and special named space Marines would make more sense and be cooler for people involved in the lore

FOR REAL. Honestly most of the games basically have horror maps anyways. I feel gothic esque architecture is inherently creepy to modern people and HUGE open buildings are on par with small claustrophobic corridors in terms of creepiness.

Only problem there would be that not killing them is usually the harder route, and hence why it garners more points.
Guess the easiest solution to that would be to not have silenced weapons. Sort of like when you trying doing a stealth run in a game where stealth isn’t meant to be an option (Helldivers for example).

I think the Trazyn Pokémon game would be absolutely peak if it ended in a Trazyn vs Trazyn boss fight after the player’s Trazyn tries to go back in time to save the Necrontyr vase that broke in his fight with Orikan
Open it with an unwinnable boss fight against a Trazyn who claims to be from the future, which motivates him to do the whole game, then close the loop by him wondering "Wait, why did that future me do all this?" have him realize 'The vase!' and go back in time so now you get a comedic stomp fest of a post final boss battle. (The final boss being some fight vs a C'Tan throwing shards at you, a bonus battle post this being a fight vs Orokan where the gimmick is you either do as he predicts or, if you've broken with 'his' timeline too many times, he resets the fight. So it's a 'what things do I need to change?' puzzle.)
Always had a big dream for a Guard vs Nid game. 4 guard players who play like any other normal co-op. And then. 50 tyranid players who can't talk, with 1 player acting as the hive mind who can talk to them all and buff, upgrade etc. Like give X player a carnifex on spawn.

Interesting idea for an asymmetric game (like the Chainsaw or other 4 v 1 games). My idea was something more so like alien isolation and games similar to it. Play as a single guard left alive after a battle went horribly wrong (which is probably common in 40K) against Tyranids. You would try to make your way through a story campaign, avoiding the larger tyranids and killing smaller ones, etc. Would definitely bring that horror aspect of the tyranids.
That would be cool, I think asymmetric PVP games are pretty interesting. What you described feels to me like halo infection dialed up to 11 to me. That’d be pretty cool

you should try "silica" its quite similar to what you described, with advanced humans vs tyranid like aliens, but obviously not in 40k
40K Surgeon simulator, where you play as a Space Marine Apothecary and perform Geneseed Implants.
Lower levels are the stable Geneseeds like Ultrasmurfs and Iron Fists.
Harder levels are the more unstable variants like Blood Angel, Space Wolf, and Raven Guard.
Top levels are Grey Knight and Chimeric Chapters (like the Charcaradons)
And once you've hit max level Alpha Plus, you're handed the Emperor's Secret Recipe and have to make a Custode.
And then in an expansion or Sequel, do it all again with the Chaos Legions.

Somewhat random idea, but what about a 40k themed educational game for kids? You play as an Administratum Adept and go about your job by answering various maths and spelling questions, and every time you get a question wrong it results in dire consequences. At the end of each session, you get a summary of how many people died as a result of any mistakes you made. If you have a perfect score, your character gets a rewards along the lines of an extra 5 minutes of sleep or 3 additional beans with their breakfast.
That would be pretty funny🤣 the internet would probably love it considering games with like a pseudo kids theme with darker undertones seem to be pretty popular.

OK 40k game idea let's go
First one horror game: in this game, you are a simple human task of helping the Inquisition but during your job, something has gone terribly wrong and monster have escape. It will be your job to survive and call for help from the wider Imperium (I was thinking it will be a mixture of both resident evil and alien isolation)
Second one roguelike game: so this is kind like your tyranid game but instead it will be Necron. in this game you will be an Overlord who has just woken up to find he is the only one and his tomb to be broken but he hears voice in his head, it's his cryptek tell him the state of the tomb world and the battle that is going on the surface. with the help of the cryptek it is the job of the Overlord to restore his tomb world in his journey he will be help by other cryptek with other disciplines or find his lych guard
third one tactical fps: in this game you are an arbites in a hive city that has gone to chaos (not the warp chaos) it is your job with your other fellow arbites to bring order on your way you will have to be careful becuase you don't know what caused this chaos and as you go on you will be approach by gang member who wants to fight or maybe join you in your quest it will be up to you to decide if they can be trusted
so yeah those are 3 of my idea sorry if it's long
Ooh those ideas are all great, I’d love a 40K horror game. Darktide has a great atmosphere for a horror games, even if you’re a bit too powerful for it to be too spooky (at least imo). I’d really like if you were sneaking around and hiding from either flayed ones or there’s a chaotic incursion and there’s a night lord or something chasing you down similar to Mr X or something.
Also I love the rouge like idea, I’d imagine you’d collect some of your old possessions/gear as you awaken more of your tomb or something, maybe it could even be something more RTS like where you amass an army. A rouge like RTS could potentially be interesting lol.
That last idea sounds like a judge dredd game and that would be wicked cool. I’m thinking a gameplay mix of ready or not and necromunda hired fun can be cool. A bit more arcadey than ready or not, but still tactical.

Just saw the first idea after mentioning my idea on another post. Love the concept and feel like 40K needs a good horror video game. My idea would have involved the Guards and the Tyranids. Love the inquisition and the one guy who loves exterminatis (which brings up the idea of trying to escape the inevitable exterminatis as the main story point), but I feel like a Guardsman would be a little scarier. Would bring about a closer feel of a normal guy trying to survive against a large threat (similar to alien isolation, although being able to kill the smaller threats and potentially large threats would be nice). The Tyranids aspect is just because they are naturally scary and deserve more of that.

@@tinman2180 Just briefly looked them up. They are scary sounding and scary looking. Would be a nightmare to see up close for sure and imagine the death scenes. Always interesting to learn something new in the 40K universe.
I think a typical fighting game could be a great fit with one caveat: it’s Orks talking about major threats, and their boasting about their wins leads to it being morphed versions of the real thing. Like ‘Ole Baleeye’ having a literal laser beam, like Ryu in the Marvel Versus Capcom games
THat would be funny lol. The reason I didn’t have a traditional fighting game for Marines was because my original draft had a Daemons fighting game in the vein or tekken or darkstalkers.
I definitely think a normal fighting game could work for the 40K setting

My idea would be a massive ship battle simulator, where you command your necron vessel inside and can switch between a cryptek to repair ship functions, a pilot like an immortal and dock, where you control the troops from the ship as a nemezor and maybe go into the pov of the soldiers and fight too. Idk how that would be programmed but sounds nice. Maybe you are a pharon that is controlling his troops.
That sounds really cool! Being able to switch between all those unit types would be really cool.
IK TABS let you set up a group of troops and control individual units if you wanted. That ones a bit more silly though, I’d love to see a system like that get taken a bit further.

I think a game where you control units like star craft as tyranids but the enemy faction plays in the FPS (COD) perspective. That could be fun.
