Hi Mike That's interesting and perhaps it is something you have enjoyed in a Dagger contour ergo boat? When these were first released our local paddlers felt they added a significant amount of weight, so outfitting is always a balance of comfort, control and weight. Hopefully with the cleat system and integrated hooker thigh grips the fit should be excellent for most. George
@@robinhoodwatersports1106 traded boats for a couple rapids.. wave sport recon i think.. definitely worth the weight for me.. Felt like I was fused to the hull..haha I started cranking it and asked what's this do? Ooh
I can see why it can't be retrofitted to other models, but it's a shame; especially as I've only just bought a Firecracker. Oh well, that's progress for you.
Hi Dave Outfitting is personal and I own a Firecracker too. I certainly don't feel the Stout 2 system if inferior, just different and it fits me really nicely. I'm no expert on the intricacies of boat development but would say this. The new hooker attaches to a moulded section of cockpit rim that isn't present on Stout 2 boats, so it seems the older moulds would then need major changes. Perhaps the seat could be more easily retrofitted but the brand would be against having a mongrel outfitting that had a mix of elements from Stout 2 and Elite in my opinion. Hope that helps :-) George
I was hoping for some type of thigh lifter.
