  • Today we're talking all things British TV! Here are the best British TV shows from when I was a foreigner living in England. The UK has a LOT of TV, so it was extremely hard to narrow it down to just 10 shows - but I'll be posting more videos on British TV eventually! One of the contestants on BakeOff started crying because something didn't go to plan. And then got even more upset because she knew her breakdown would be broadcast to the country. So the presenters and other contestants just started swearing really loudly for 10 minutes to make the footage unusable so it would have to get edited out. How wholesome!

The show has gone on so long and is so pervasive in various media that the fans all feel that they own it to some extent. As a result, almost everything they do will be publicly maligned by a loud minority, whilst the majority either approve or keep their mouths shut. Couldn't blame you for not wanting to watch British soaps. They're very downbeat and depressing. You can feel suicidal after one episode. Dr Who was good at one time.
