Of the 337 episodes of TPE, I have watched at least 180 episodes completely. But this ep has left me confused; I don't know whether I liked it or not (despite anticipating it since the guest reveal)
after the 1st half, I was pretty disappointed at Talat Hussain for prioritizing Army's collective wisdom over the masses. His acquiescence with Asim Munir winding 'Project Imran' is uncomforting primarily because:
    a) Isn't it selective amnesia to believe Army's role in politics started from 2010 onwards. What about Nawaz; he too was birthed in the nursery of establishment. why not wind 'Project Nawaz'? Just because it happened pre 2000s?
    b) Acquiescing this winding project legitimizes establishment's role in politics. I do agree 9th may was a disaster and project 'Imran' is, indeed, a wrong project which has only destabilized Pakistan but wouldn't it be better to leave it here and let time run its course (assuming establishment has acknowledged it misadventure)
I stand with what I wrote above yet I like Talat Hussain sb, even more so now, for his honesty and clarity in what he believes. We can agree to disagree on this one.
In the process of writing this comment, I am no longer confused. I loved the podcast and I can say that the last 100min of my life were an investment and not a waste.
His insight into ToshaKhana and educated guesses were a treat. I learnt a lot and thanks Shahzad for the tough questions and more so for maintaining the smile and humble tone despite the zealous tone by Talat sb
PS: I never knew a proper journalist has to be so skilled and meticulous. Massive respect for Talat sb for not accepting a single trip in his 34 year career.
PPS: I regularly watch Talat sb's channel and my scrutiny of him comes out of a place of respect. If you (Talat sb) read this comment, consider this the honest reporting a journalist ought to do of establishment, which they may not like at the moment, but respect in the long term (for the honesty and principled stance)

Don’t have to agree with everything the guest says, important to get his POV, I disagree with the army’s role in politics too but I feel I now better understand Talat’s take on what is happening, must say he was good here.

      B) do you know nawaz have suffer alot from establishment ?
let imran be suffer and let him get what he deserve to give false no ball Chutyappa for youthiya CHoo ....?
and when Imrani tuhfa (bajwa ka munna TT) will understand the power and its game then he should play wisely. L k sath latkay rahay ga tu blade bhi phirain Chowain urranay k liye.. (yeh the Cho... youthiya ko samjhanay k liye L aur T ke misaal).
why you are getting so sentimental like Youthiya? Jazbat ko elehda karo aur Game of Throne aur power Hakumat aur System ko pehlay smjhao.
      A) waaahh.... pakkay youthiyaa.. Choo... jazbat.
itnay asan alfaz mein tallat nay smjha diya k Pakkay peri anna c es inqalibi muham tay.(jo k hamain pehlay say he malom tha k manjan aur chooran hay) madina ke riyasat.
akhir mein Imrani totka.... Emandar aur naik honay k liye naam k sath HONEST (QASIM) aur NAIK likhna zarori nai. amal say zahir ho jata hay aur phir alqab diye jatay hain. yan rakhay jatay hain.
      ab mazrat. meray comment per.

    To the People of Pakistan,
It's time for us to reflect on the future of our beloved nation. Regardless of our political affiliations, we must prioritize the well-being of Pakistan above all else. Our young generation holds the potential to shape a brighter tomorrow, but we must recognize the responsibility that comes with it.
Let us not allow political divides to hinder our progress. Instead, let's focus on what unites us as Pakistanis: our shared aspirations for a prosperous and harmonious society.
We urge our leaders to govern with integrity and foresight, always mindful of the long-term consequences of their actions. We must hold them accountable for their decisions and demand transparency in governance.
We are not bound by party allegiances but by our commitment to the betterment of our nation. Together, let's work towards building a Pakistan that we can be proud of-a Pakistan that thrives in unity, peace, and progress

What a breath of fresh, unapologetic and raw but true air! Mr Shahzad Ghias's questions are straight, to the point and he gets an answer, Mr Talat Hussain is a legend who i deeply respect. So good to see this exhange.
Though i respectfully disagree with TH when he says current COAS has any role in reversing sins of his ancestors. Generals simply do not and must not have any role in mainstream politics.
