There is a lot of old threads to get through on there! Can know change faces using the Wooshaa Editor but still not sure how to add the downloaded .big files. I'm dropping them into the game file like in your tutorial but I'm not sure what to edit when the TRF guys talk about replace another .big file and change the player ID...that's where I get lost. I tried changing the info in the TRF roster excel file but that doesn't seem to matter. Might need another tutorial video from yourself 😄👍🏻

The arrow buttons can be tricky to get working. I don't really use them because of this. Check out my other tutorial on how to get a controller to work on 08, that might help
The aesthetic work they have done is phenomenal. However the game breaks everywhere. Users should know that the world league, the French Top 14 and the world cup is only playable in 1 match, then the game breaks... it crashes. Not to mention the "bugs" that exist during the gameplay
I have not had many issues at all. I've had a couple of crashes but nothing major. A few minor issues is only to be expected when there are thousands of mods at work from people who are not professionals in this craft.

Hi there, I would just like to know if the new roster players looks similar to the real life players because I downloaded this roster and most of the players does not look similar to real life such as B barrett and Faf de klerk for example. Almost like random generated faces or am I missing something. Also I saw on the rugby forum there is a 2009 patch for new kits and faces but no option to download, maybe someone can help me with that.
You need to go a step further for the faces. There is a thread called the face tracker. That is where you can download faces. Not sure about the 09 mod I'm afraid.
Hi, just want to ask why some players faces are red and orange without any hair when I play, but when cutscenes come on its normal? Any way to change this
It's to do with your graphics setting. Make sure you've got them up to the highest in the game settings. Believe one in particular about high quality images.
Tried a few mods before, however struggling to get the correct controls for Xbox series x controller, anyone know how to fix it? ie the select Button sprint etc
Getting the controls right is a bit of a nightmare. I ended up downloading software to map the buttons. I have a tutorial on how to do it on my channel if that helps 👍

Rugby 08 is working perfectly on my WIN11 laptop but on my ASUS ROG Ally with WIN11 it just goes to a black screen then kicks me to the desktop again. Any advice as having it on a handheld will be awesome. I tried forcing different resolutions, compatibility modes and installed older versions of DirectX no luck. Bears if you have any ideas please help. I even tried booting a copy of my laptop from a USB and tried reinstalling, no luck. on my channel is a video of what it does, i uploaded it to get advice from TRF.

Brother, I downloaded the first file from the website the game worked perfect, i then went to download the first file from the forum and the part that you said 'includes 2 files' i only have the one file, I tried to copy everything from this download and the second download and now the game wont run. any idea? There is an update on the rugby forum to sort out the recruitment and funds issue. Not sure about the created players but you could also ask about that on there.
Guys can I please get help? I’ve downloaded the game from oldgames website but every time I try run the game it either closes, sits stuck on the loading screen or asks me to insert a disk. Can someone help please
@@BearsGamer I have tried both methods mentioned on the website. With method 1 the game starts up but then nothing happens it just remains on the loading screen saying "Rugby 08" and even after trying to close the game in task manager it doesnt work so i have to physcially restart my pc. When I try method 2 the game starts but then closes immediately and i am just taken back to my desktop. Is there any possibility you would please be able to upload your Rugby 08 folder to a google drive for me to download directly? Hello Bears Gamer. You once had a 3 part video on updating the divisions and such. I still have all the downloads needed, but unsure about getting the rosters working correctly. They are still on my channel, only one got removed which was how to download the game for free. EA took it down. Just head to my tutorial playlist. The rest is pretty much the same after following all your steps. But the faces aren't like that. Like Faf de klerk or Peter O'Mahony etc. Please help?
The best and easiest way is to just uninstall the game completely and then re-download it. I always make a back up when modding so I always have a choice whether to load up the clean version or modded version.
Hi, is there a way to mod/hack this game so it allows cpu vs cpu play like fifa? When you put the controller in the middle the continue button is grayed out... Is there a way to bypass this?
@@gtanirvana95 there are 2 versions of the mod to download, one has super rugby. I'm not sure exactly what each ones are called but just have a browse of the rugby forum.
Not sure about that mate, not attempted it. I don't actually play the game via steam but you can load it onto steam and play it from there if that helps.
Hi Bears. Endless thanks to your videos. They made me realize about this amazing 2023 mod. The only trouble Im having is that when playing a World Cup every low team goes through the knockout stages and New Zealand, Australia, Springboks lose all of their games. You need to load up the game, make a change and save the profile for the first time. When you go back you should then have roster and a profile.
I also can't find the profile. My game still has old players but everything else is updated and the game works perfectly fine. I need help

Probably a corrupt file with one of the teams. Ask on the rugby forum they are more equipped for helping 👍

You need to save a roster file and then swap it for the updated one which will be on the rugby forum.

I can't help unfortunately. It can be in different places on different PCs. Your best bet would be to search it on the search bar.
Is this possible if your running the game off an emulator? For example, I’m using PCSX2 emulator

That's strange, I've just tried it myself and it works fine. Brings me to a page of rugby games, just scroll down to rugby 08.

Just make sure you've installed everything correctly. You could have put a file in the wrong place for example. If not then I'm not too sure.

All depends on the version of the mod. If you head over to the rugby forum then there might be different versions with different tournaments enabled.

I use a program called antimicro which allows you to map keyboard keys to a controller.

This was a separate download for me from the rugby forum. There should be a thread on there for faces. Thanks for the help with pronunciation.

You'll need to download a software that extracts rar files.

Can you show how to remove the mods and just play normal until you want to mod again?
The best and easiest way is to just uninstall the game completely and then re-download it. I always make a back up when modding so I always have a choice whether to load up the clean version or modded version.

When you put the controller in the middle the continue button is grayed out... Is there a way to bypass this?

Load the game up for the first time and make a change to a team. Save it, then you'll have a profile 👍

@@gtanirvana95 there are 2 versions of the mod to download, one has super rugby. I'm not sure exactly what each ones are called but just have a browse of the rugby forum.

Not sure about that mate, not attempted it. I don't actually play the game via steam but you can load it onto steam and play it from there if that helps.

Mod works great, but on world league you can’t earn transfer points and there are no players available, very disappointing

Hi Bears. Endless thanks to your videos. They made me realize about this amazing 2023 mod. The only trouble Im having is that when playing a World Cup every low team goes through the knockout stages and New Zealand, Australia, Springboks lose all of their games. I saw in TRF about some editors to solve this but couldn't go through.
