Essentially what we really need is a plug in hybrid EV. Range anxiety is the only reason which would still deter people to not to adopt EV especially when there is next to none charging infra. With plug in hybrid you always have option to use petrol in case your car's battery ran out of juice!
@@Khushal.Patidar we can. By making things smart. Incentive people automatically based on their driving mode. E.g. refund of tolls if in a week you have driven 50% of mileage on battery and remaining 50% on fuel, perhaps subsidy on insurance renewal if you have achieved some targetted mileage percentage on battery in a year. Norway being far developed compared to India to the date is the only country where over 80% new cars being sold are EV. We cannot simply have any battery swap here as we are not talking about mobile. The battery weighs more than 100kg and if not taken care properly disasters can happen. Even to this date Tesla do not have battery swap as it's simply not an efficient option.
Yes.. Hybrid EV would be a great Idea.. But just like that person said, EVs do have motors instead of engine.. I think, it won't be so easy to manage space.. While creating a Car, they focus on the design, boot space, expenditure, market price etc.. What you are suggesting is not gonna happen..

I stayed in US for 4 years E.V vehicles are efficient for short journey until 250-400 km. But Charging station are not available in small towns so dependency is still on gasoline engines

Sir only one major problem he explained that is Charging infrastructure .But there are two major reasons Second one is charging time.. example as he drove approx 250km but let us assume his work will get over in 10mins or he has to return immediately due to some emergency then he can't .He has to wait minimum 60min at any point for full charge (in Fast charging station if available). So that's the issue and some other minor issues are also there for EVs which needs to addressed first.
@@ajitgpf yes if you can maintain two cars then yes you can opt EV for city driving and petrol/Diesel car for long tour purposes but if you can buy only one then you will feel bad about your decision very soon...i.e. buying an EV
Soon we will have flash charge system for such vehicle. Like in case of mobile charging time reduced from 2 hours to 15 minutes. That will be invention if someone made vooc system charge or quantum charging system for EV.

The company should provide this facility that whenever the charging is over, then every station should get a ready-made charged battery, which by taking money immediately change the battery and give benefit to the customer by giving another battery.

Issues with electric car- Battery comprises of 50 to 60 percent of the entire car cost. Battery life is usually 2000 charging cycles or 5000kms whichever is earlier. Battery in EV is usually of Lithium which isn't available in India, Hence making it even more expensive to replace it. Also, charging them at home is t cost effective as they consume 1-2KW each hour. Also, entire power line needs to to be revamped to facilitate electric car charging at homes. Moreover, charging time usually is between 15-20min hence queueing time more compared to fossil fuel stations. Cost of charging at Charging station is another hurdle as there are only few players and they will usually charge high. Hence, until and unless all these factors are taken into consideration it is not viable.

Essentially what we really need is a plug in hybrid EV. Range anxiety is the only reason which would still deter people to not to adopt EV especially when there is next to none charging infra. With plug in hybrid you always have option to use petrol in case your car's battery ran out of juice!

@@Khushal.Patidar we can. By making things smart. Incentive people automatically based on their driving mode. E.g. refund of tolls if in a week you have driven 50% of mileage on battery and remaining 50% on fuel, perhaps subsidy on insurance renewal if you have achieved some targetted mileage percentage on battery in a year. Norway being far developed compared to India to the date is the only country where over 80% new cars being sold are EV. We cannot simply have any battery swap here as we are not talking about mobile. The battery weighs more than 100kg and if not taken care properly disasters can happen. Even to this date Tesla do not have battery swap as it's simply not an efficient option.

I stayed in US for 4 years E.V vehicles are efficient for short journey until 250-400 km. But Charging station are not available in small towns so dependency is still on gasoline engines
250KM is more than enough I think for daily use. Means 2.5hr@100km.
Atleast it has started. Stationes will double in next 5 years.

Sir only one major problem he explained that is Charging infrastructure .But there are two major reasons Second one is charging time.. example as he drove approx 250km but let us assume his work will get over in 10mins or he has to return immediately due to some emergency then he can't .He has to wait minimum 60min at any point for full charge (in Fast charging station if available). So that's the issue and some other minor issues are also there for EVs which needs to addressed first.

@@ajitgpf yes if you can maintain two cars then yes you can opt EV for city driving and petrol/Diesel car for long tour purposes but if you can buy only one then you will feel bad about your decision very soon...i.e. buying an EV
Soon we will have flash charge system for such vehicle. Like in case of mobile charging time reduced from 2 hours to 15 minutes. That will be invention if someone made vooc system charge or quantum charging system for EV.

Well, this is how we do cost effective promotion of EV cars. Deepak sir has been harnessing the power of social media to the fullest. It is a great example of cost cutting in promotions of government schemes. I just learnt that the other person is a cofounder and CTO of a company. Well, not everyone can buy a car worth 23-24 lakh rupees. And also, you are not going to get such a huge personal loan for that matter.

Issues with electric car- Battery comprises of 50 to 60 percent of the entire car cost. Battery life is usually 2000 charging cycles or 5000kms whichever is earlier. Battery in EV is usually of Lithium which isn't available in India, Hence making it even more expensive to replace it. Also, charging them at home is t cost effective as they consume 1-2KW each hour. Also, entire power line needs to to be revamped to facilitate electric car charging at homes. Moreover, charging time usually is between 15-20min hence queueing time more compared to fossil fuel stations. Cost of charging at Charging station is another hurdle as there are only few players and they will usually charge high. Hence, until and unless all these factors are taken into consideration it is not viable.
