  • This will be our final garden tour for quite a while as we make our way to Taiwan for the winter. We've been busy covering down beds, clearing the tunnels and preparing to turn some market garden beds into food forests. There's still plenty to show off though, so join us as we take a stroll through the garden on a gorgeous sunny day in October before the first frost arrives.

Wormwood twice a year is enough! Yes, you are right. Why do I dry it. Two big doses at appropriate times. Great idea.

The timing makes sense with the change of the seasons, too. Probably when we need it most. I don't think I could stomach it anymore than twice a year either... 😅

Visited my sister in Kilkenny a few weeks back and was delighted to see that your veg was being served in Arán restaurant in town & listed on the menu 🙏🌍🌱

It was an unexpected surprise to get a garden update. Yay! Even with so much empty space now, there’s still plenty left to harvest in the garden. Thanks for the useful tip on leaving the corn and sunflowers stalks as insect skyscrapers ☺️I’ll be doing that. Glad Kay spotted the gooseberry. Love/hate/love wormwood 🥴. Until next video. Safe travels.

Thanks Penny! I also love/hate/love wormwood... The fresh stuff is patricularly hard to get down. I forget how bad it is every time I do it 😅 I always feel like Dumbledore in Harry Potter trying to finish off the cursed water in that fountain 🤣

Looking great and so tidy! Our gardens are a little overgrown this time of year, but still very productive with all the perennial / tuberous veg. :D Enjoy your time off.

🤣 Very observant... Had to look back on the video to see what you meant. I suppose I am clenching it a bit! I'm wearing a support for my wrist, which was hurting when I bent it in certain positions. It's the arm that I lift a shovel with so that that had become difficult here at the end of the season. Thankfully, it's recovered now after giving it some rest.

@@BoscosGarden you carry tension/feelings in that hand. Massage the muscles from the wrist to elbow
