more like 3 years because ut2004 is basically ut2003 reskinned with more levels. I think they further optimized the engine a little too so it actually ran better! point is still valid though. Voodoo 6000 would have been released 2 years before the legendary ati radeon 9700 pro and its sibling cards in in july 2002. The 9700pro of which was 2002-2006 era graphics personified.
Most of the time over 60 FPS!! Goes to show that with fast CPU and more mature drivers, Voodoo 5 6000 could have been neck and neck in performance with GeForce 2 GTS or even Ultra.

Not a chance... The 3dfx ran on 16bit rather then 32bit by both nvidia and amd.
