Surely the pollen/cabin filter needs doing too, it’ll be black and look liked it’s had the contents of a vacuum emptied into after at least 10 years of not changing it. They’re meant to be done approx every 12-15,00 miles or every year.
quick question. i got a very well serviced 1.4 from 2002. but only at speeds from 15 km to about 25 to 30km you hear a knocking coming from the front of the vehicle. it is not engine RPM related. and not brakes. going any faster or slower than the indicated speed makes the knocking disappear right away. any cause for serious concern?
@@Resto.Nation wheel balance definitely no. maybe the tray indeed. but the balance of the vehicle is spot on. i can let go of the wheel at 130 (km) and it isn't budging. might take a indepth look at it next year when i need to fix some tidbits on the vehicle anyway. besides that the last dude serviced it so well. al seals replaced and you name it. 4000km later and not a drop oil used. solid little buggers these things
turned out to be a fully worn out wishbone on front right. replaced it both sides+ stab rods+steering j balls and it drives wonderfull now. just some minor other mechanical issues
I get my oil dun twice a year service on heel is footwell leak on fixing it s with mastic brush £ 19 a tin we will see brought in 2005 12000miles on now. 2021 76.300 miles been gem never had rear brake shoes yet🤔 enjoy your vides
After ten years of no oil change , why didn't you flush the engine? there is no way in hell I would have put a new oil and filter after discovering all that gunk under the rocker cover.

Flushing an engine can sometimes cause more problems than it's worth. Removing the sludge exposes the seals and if they are crap you have oil leaks and more work to do.
@@apricotpapi Putting chemicals in the Engine before a oil change to clean the gunk and sludge. In theory it's great but can also open up oil leaks if your seals are rubbish.
well, buying a jack costs way more than 40 quid...Anyway, you don't even need it. Filter is on top behind the wind shield, sparks are on top, and oil is on top you can scoot under the car to remove the old oil, well, I can. Also, you are using the wrong oil on top of that, my corsa doesnt use more than 1dl of oil over 10K km so yours is fud up. Probably from DIY and wrong oil. EDIT: your could be a diesel plant engine. That's expensive, slow, loud it's a corsa) and a completely wrong choice of engine for a city car.

Any local motor factors should be able to sort you out. Halfords aren’t bad on quality and price for tools 👍🏻

quck tip who doesnt have a magnetic pen, i used a tape masure, those usually have a strong magnet at the start of the tape.

Maybe wheel balance? Or a plastic under tray catching?

@@rayproductionsbackupchanne3862 could be the ball joints on the tie rods. About £50 mechanic job. Had to do mine a month ago.

Remove the centre and try tightening it?
